Mr. [redacted] is correct in that he purchased a refurbished iPhone that had been mislabeled. It was mistakenly labeled as a 32GB iPhone 5s for $170. The retail price for refurbished iPhone 5s ranges from $199 to $249 for the 16GB model, and $275 to $299 for the 32GB model, all depending on condition...

(physical damages, shorter battery life, etc.) This particular label was supposed to be put on another phone which had a few of these issues, which is why it was priced significantly below retail value, We NEVER tried to get the customer to pay more than the ticket price for this device. We sold it at our cost and took the loss. 
When the customer returned, he brought the mistake to our attention. We were happy to resolve this for him: We offered him a full refund for the mislabeled phone, as well as a $40 store credit for his travel costs, even though it was Mr. [redacted] decision in the first place to shop incredibly far away from his home. This $40 credit was approved by the store manager, Tony C[redacted], as an attempt to smooth things over with the customer. 
The customer wanted a 32GB iPhone 5s as a replacement for the 16GB iPhone he was sold. We found the least expensive 32GB device in stock with no issues, which was priced at $275, the lower end of the price range for this model. The difference, after applying the $170 refund, $40 credit, and WA state sales tax, was approximately $70. 
Because these two phones are completely different item’s with completely different colors, skus and cost’s to the company, we have no obligation to sell him a different phone at the same price. Even if it has the same size and model. These are not the same item. 
We believe this was a fair solution - a full refund and $40 for the hassle of coming back to the store, with the opportunity to use the credit towards any of our refurbished iPhones, but Mr. [redacted] demanded we give him the 32GB iPhone as a free exchange, which would have been at an $110 discount. When we refused, Mr. [redacted] became unreasonably angry and livid - shouting obscenities and verbally assaulting our sales representatives and causing a scene while there were other customers in the store. He then demanded we give him the original phone back, we did immediately and politely asked him to leave the store immediately. Right before he left, Mr. [redacted] grabbed a silver pen holder filled with pens, service tools and a pair of scissors and threw the contents of the cup towards our employees, while continuing to shout profanities. He then left the store.
Several hours later, Mr. [redacted] sent an email to the General Manager of the CityMac, threatening to pursue further legal action against us. At this time we have no plans to press charges against Mr. [redacted] for verbally and physically assaulting our employees, but should he seek legal action against CityMac, we will be forced to do so. [redacted] is no longer welcome at any of our locations. However, we are willing to entirely refund the $170 Mr. [redacted] initially paid for the phone should he choose to return it by January 25th, 2016 (14 days after this incident occurred). Should this transaction be requested, we will arrange to have Mr. [redacted] mail the iPhone to CityMac and will reimburse him for any postage costs in the refund check, which will be sent upon receiving the device.
