Lux windows who I have used before for Windows and was very pleased .I had ordered more windows from them and did so with *** in sales and ordered windows for a reno and had stated that they were to have a brick mold for a house with stucco exterior disassembled one window for exact measures where the brick mold exists on the old windows so no modifications are needed when installing the new Windows the home owners went in to lux and paid for them in full and for delivery when I arrived to look at the windows they all had nailing fins which was wrong but when I called *** back and explained that they were wrong and shouldn't have a nailing fin and there should be brick mold he said that that's what I ordered .wrong he is but won't admit it and also stated there was nothing he could do so I then called the service manager *** and explained what has happened and asked what could be done to correct the problem and read though the receipt and no where on there on that receipt and no where does it state the exterior Finnish stucco, siding, brick etc and being as the windows aren't for a house that is being built and I cannot change the framing so every casing is wrong and every window will require additional work and materials to complete which falls on the home owners and contractor that's not fair The worst part of all is *** the service manager Thurs last week stated that he had 5th wait for *** to get back from holidays on Monday and then he would get back to me thus being Thursday and another phone call from myself week from when we last spoke time waiting now weeks and another message left I did explain that if their order forms had a check box for exterior Finnish perhaps this would never have happened to me or anyone else ever Now they have left a family with more ex Spence and a contractor with a bad taste for lux windows and the service debt
We built a high end home over 2 million. We installed Lux windows as suggested by our builder. Worst windows and doors ever. From day one we had major issues with the windows icing up. I'm not talking a little.. I mean 2 to 3 inches up the window. Also water would come right through the sliders. We received every excuse to why this was happening. They did come on one occasion and put a big ugly strip of foam where the slider closes to stop water from seeping in, not really what I wanted on my new slider. Quick repair for an ontological no issue. Here we are 2 years later with the same problems. Stuck with terrible windows and doors. I feel like we were put off many times in the first year until hm warranty on product was up. Never, ever, ever again would I use or recommend Lux products. We have done renos on other homes we owned. Used a different product and never had these kind of issues. Ever.
Paid 25% deposit for doors on July 7th 2016 and was told that doors would be ready for pickup 3 weeks after I ordered them. It is now August 11 2016 over 5 weeks since I ordered them and was told there is nothing I can do but wait another week which will be 6 weeks and there will be no discount offered.
