I used TDK [redacted] a couple years ago and it was a great experience time to come for repair and have my Air Cond working. Was done in maybe 1/2 hour and was done for 59.00.. Was repaired.. Broken Burnt wire. Great experience then so when had a problem this weekend wanted to use them again. Called Monday Morning and was told possibly that afternoon but for sure Tuesday... Great no problem and everything I expected. Dispatcher Robin very friendly and courteous and tech was here promptly as told. Tech checked condenser/compressor unit found burnt wire.. repaired so he could finish diagnosis and see if compresser working. It fixed problem and tech checked temps in house at vents. Maybe 20 minutes and working perfect!!! Then the bill... I had agreed too a 75.00 diagnosis fee and was told would be additional 51.00 to cut and strip a power wire and reconnect... Part of diagnosis so you can see if all else works.. You know I understand times tough but really????? I spoke again with Robin.. Company Dispatcher and she did drop bill to original diagnosis fee but people that don't understand the basic A/C System that would just pay bill presented to them???? I see your ratings and hate having to post this but when a company gets so big that the people who use you are tossed aside and it begins to be numbers instead of loyalty... not a good thing... Remember it was your customers and word of mouth that grew your business....Left a very bad taste in my mouth and will not use your business again. I will pass this info to my family and friends and ask them to let others know. There other A/C repair business around and 1 Had a special for diagnosis for 59.95 that I passed on because of previous experience with your company. Might rethink your current policy. 38 years in auto service business and I believe you need to take care of Customers. Thank you

We just bought our second furnace/AC combo from TDK. The first is in a condo we own and this new one is at our primary residence. In both cases, the salesperson was very professional, explained everything completely, and helped us find the best unit and financing for our needs. The techs who installed the system were efficient and meticulous about cleaning up the work site. We have a maintenance contract for the unit at our condo and service is always prompt and professional. We have had some not so good experiences with other vendors and so are especially appreciative of the professional, friendly, and trustworthy service TDK provides.

This company installed my HVAC system 7 years ago and up to now we have had a good relationship. The TXV valve failed on my system. I was quoted around $800 for the repair which I was lead to believe was for an entire days work. To me that was a reasonable charge. BUT the service took only 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
When I contacted the owner/manager? He refused to cut me any flack stating the charges were from a flat rate book and he couldn't vary from them. I contacted the manufacturer's distributor who told me that there is no flat rate book published and that pricing is up to the dealer. I contacted a local dealer for the same system and their "flat rate" book set the charge for the same job at a little more than half of what TDK charged.
When confronted with that he wouldn't budge and didn't seem to care when I told him we would never deal with TDK, or recommend them, again.
I was also charged for two 'diagnostic' calls, one of which was erroneous.
I have no beef with his service people. They are courteous, efficient and for the most part knowledgeable.
