Review: I hired a contractor to do the roof and inner kitchen ceiling. He didnt give me a receipt, he said he would bring it when he came to do job. I trusted him cause he lives close and was related to a friend of mine. At that time I gave him 3,000 dollars that he said he needed to get supplies. It took a few weeks to get in touch and I got a hold of him an we set date. without talking to me about what kind of roof, he went and did it. He did roof which he told insurance company it would cost $1500 to complete just roof. Then it started, he wouldnt take my calls, when I did get a hold of him he said he would call me to set up time for inside ceiling job. never called back, this went on for awhile, I mean weeks. so I told him just give me back any remaining money left. should have been $1500, he gave me $500. Now that is not enough to finish inside work. which insuranse co saids should be $2500, of which $1000 is my deductible. and his remaing $1500 he owes me. He returned $500. I called insurance co. , they said he owes me not them.Desired Settlement: I would like the remaining $1000 he owes me.
