Review: The contractor was hired in November 2013 to replace iron railings on front steps and around back porch. The railings were put up but never secured or anchored. They cannot be held onto because they shake. I checked that it is a health/safety issue because if anyone grabs them or leans on them it will cause a serious fall. The second part of my concern is over the flimsy quality of railings put up. They are rusting already . I was told they were measured to be taken to an iron worker but he bought them at [redacted] and cut them too short.I tried to get him to complete the job right many times, but each time we rescheduled he didn't show up. Now his phone is disconnect .Desired Settlement: I want safe, strong railings put up to replace the shakes, poor quality ones. I would like them to be inspected so I don't get ripped off again.

10/7/2016 - In response to ID#[redacted] filed 5/27/14 - T.J. Enterprises Corporation ensures quality service to its customers, this complaint is total opposite to what Mrs. [redacted] states, T.J. Enterprises explained to Mrs. [redacted] that custom made iron railings would be most stable to fit her structure, and that obtaining railings from home depot would no be as fit as custom made railings. Due to cost concerns, Mrs [redacted] agreed for T.J. Enterprises to install non-custom made home depot railings.

In response to the complaint submitted by assigned ID# [redacted] customer [redacted], first and foremost, T.J. Enterprises represents integrity and truthfulness. T.J. Enterprises has been in operation for 26 years, with a total of 6 complaints in 26 years. In which all were made when it was time for client to pay for rendered services. As far as Mr. [redacted] the agreement was for $15,000 – but a negotiation for 10.000, was agreed upon and a bonus upon completion of job. T.J. Enterprises contract states clients pay half of contract total to start work, however, Mr. [redacted] only gave 2000,00, that was used for paving machine and to pay help. Paving machine cost a total of $500 per-day, and 4 guys rate of pay was $ 150.00 per for @ 4 days of work. Continuous attempts to receive additional money from Mr. [redacted] for completion of project were never made. As suppliers require monies up front for machine use, the contractual project had to cease for non-payment of contract agreement.Once again, T.J. Enterprises represents honesty, integrity, and professionalism, and if you have any questions , please call T.J. Enterprises at ###-###-####.

Review: I entered into a contract with TJ Enterprises on7/23/2014. The scope of the work was to include replacing the roof with the work done by 3 professional roofers, repairing the box gutters around the house, fixing the front porch, prepping and painting the house exterior. The roof specifically was to be completed in three days and would always be protected from rain as shingles were removed. The entire project was to take 3 weeks. He told me 'his men' would clean my yard and I told him I did not want my yard cleaned/cleared. I returned from vacation 2 weeks later and a 4' section of paint had been brushed on the wood shingles of the front porch and a five foot section of shingles were removed from the roof. The yard was cleaned. I paid a 50% deposit. On 8/15 he asked for money for chimney work (denied -$500 extra in budget). On 8/15 I amended the contract to remove the siding project. I have record of 24 text/voicemail messages that state what is accomplished and none of it is accomplished today. On September 1 it rained and a 2 foot square of the bathroom ceiling caved in. The bathroom had never leaked. TJ's response was that they forgot to cover the roof after they removed the shingles. I paid him $800 on 9/19 even though he didn't have the work completed that he said he would. The roof buckles which he assures me will flatten out on a sunny day. September 30 it rained and the bedroom ceiling leaked so much that a 2.5 square foot of carpet was wet. I was angry since I was told the roof was complete. His response was "all this over 1 small leak" and that section didn't have any shingles on it because that's where my jacks were located and I forgot to cover it. He also stated that there were other holes where other jacks were. He knew rain was predicted because we had talked about it. He was to fix the holes on 10/1 which did not happen. Then he was to fix the roof on 10/2 which didn't happen. At that point I ended our agreement. No space to address gutters/porch issues.Desired Settlement: $3,200 remains on the contract. If it covers estimates to finish/fix the roof and gutters, fix the porch floor and paint, an umbrella stand and seed the side yard we are even. If the amount of the estimates is greater than $3,200 [redacted] owes me that amount of money. My goal was to list my home for sale in September, I would like to be compensated for lost prime fall selling time. I would like to save others the disappointment I experienced. $343 in materials were never purchased.

Review: This builder was to complete work at a duplex. Not only was the workmanship not done well, there were several timing issues with respect to getting the work done. Despite him saying he would get something done withing a certain time frame, he constantly had to be watched to ensure the work got done. On top of that, the contractor requested replacement for a check that he claimed he could not cash due to the fact that there was a letter wrong in the title. I sent a replacement check that he cashed assuring me that the other check was torn up. 3 weeks after the final payment was made and over 2 months later, he cashed the first check that was supposedly torn up. He initially stated that this was in error. After a week of being told "the check has been sent" I have put in a fraud claim with the bank and will be also doing so with the state attorney general's office. This guy is a liar and a cheat and should not be allowed to conduct business in the state of Pennsylvania.Additionally, the resolution that the contractor posted is not true. The contractor sent a check that bounced. It turns out that the checking account is closed. The reimbursement never happened per the agreement. All should stay away from this contractor.Desired Settlement: I would like the replacement of the check of $1200 plus the cost for having the check bounce in my account as previously stated.
