[The check engine light was on when I originally took it to this mechanicI had it towed as to not do anymore damage as I did not know what was wrong with the vehicleEvery time I left with my car the check engine light was still on The final time I took it to him the check engine light was on when I drove the vehicle awayI took it to the dealer and they fixed my vehicle properly doing exactly what this mechanic supposively didThis mechanic is lying The check engine light was never on because of the heater coreThis was a known issue that was taken care of at a later dateIf the mechanic would have known was he was doing he would have done a simple compression test on the head and known that it was not fixed properly when it had a percent loss of compressionThe dealer knew this immediatelyAlso the dealer stated the nuts and bolts that were used to put the engine back together we're not out in correctly and was very sloppy in general. .]

THE DETAILS OF THIS MATTER ARE AS FOLLOWS:COMPLAINT INVOLVES: ***RESPONSES TO COMPLAINT: REPAIR SHOP RESPONSE TO QUESTIONS:I am answering to the complaint # *** the vehicle regarding this
complaint was brought to us by tow truck with a blown head gasket the car was over heating we sent the heads to the machine shop we do not have any control over the time it takes the machine shop to repair the heads to have it worked on when they were ready we replaced them back to the vehicleYes when she came to pickup her car we did tell her the cylinder #was misfiring and we were going to replace the part we were waiting for the part to be delivered within half hour or so Yes we told her to bring her car back because the check engine light came on and we did tell her that it was safe to drive the car because it had nothing to do with the work that we did on it The second time that she brought the car to us with the check engine light on we gave her one of our own personal vehicles for her to use not a company car or rent a personal vehicle for her to use so that she would not be without a vehicleThe problem at this time with the check engine light was the heater coil was gone that is why the head gasket was gone ( there is no way of finding this out without repairing the head gasket) we used the dealer part (coil) because the dealer stated this car needed original oem part (it happens to some cars that they need original dealer parts not aftermarket) We did tell her to take the car to the dealer when it happened again to see what the problem was because we are not equipped with the updated diagnosis machine that the dealers have to further find the problem we told her when she was told by the dealer what the problem was to call and let us knew the result so that we could repair the problem that was associated with the diagnosis test to not let the dealer repair the car if it was something mechanical not electric that we would take care of it We did not tell her to have it repaired elsewhere if it was something to do with the work that we had done on the vehicleWhen we gave her the car back the car was repaired for the overheating problem which was the original problem that the car was brought to us to repair Additional problems that came after the repair we could not be for seen. AMOUNT DISPUTED: $1679.44DESIRED SETTLEMENT:We are not going to refund her because it was not anything to do with repairs that we did to her vehicle and we have done nothing wrong
