Revdex.com: I have reviewed the? response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.? For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]The statements that he has given are not true.? He took months to do a job that should have taken less then weeks.? If he would have done the job in that amount of time then the weather and family issues would not be a factor.? In regards to the family issues, I didnt know about his mothers issue until December and it was only after I sent messages asking if he would be working on the roof.? As far as he father, I was never informed of any of that information.? He never volunteered any information regarding any situation, I would send messages asking if he was coming to work on the roof and he would respond with a type of excuse as to why he couldn't be there to work.? As far as him "willing" to finish the roof, I did tell him I didn't want him to because I cannot wait another months for it to be completed.? The supplies are all there for the job to be finished so that isn't a valid excuse either.? As far as the receipts not paid, another lie.? I have receipts and canceled checks to prove that they were all paid.? And futhermore I have yet to receive the paid invoice for the gutters that he has promised several times.? ? I do feel he needs to provide a reimbursement because I now have to have someone come and not only finish the job but also correct it.? Since the original complaint was filed, we have had issues with gutters that he pulled away from the house and never put back.? In fact one of those gutters came down last weekend, luckily no one was injured but it should have never happened.? ? If need be I can provide proof of all of my statements.? Regards, [redacted]

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]The statements that he has given are not true.  He took 3 months to do a job that should have taken less then 2 weeks.  If he would have done the job in that amount of time then the weather and family issues would not be a factor.  In regards to the family issues, I didnt know about his mothers issue until December and it was only after I sent messages asking if he would be working on the roof.  As far as he father, I was never informed of any of that information.  He never volunteered any information regarding any situation, I would send messages asking if he was coming to work on the roof and he would respond with a type of excuse as to why he couldn't be there to work.  As far as him "willing" to finish the roof, I did tell him I didn't want him to because I cannot wait another 6 months for it to be completed.  The supplies are all there for the job to be finished so that isn't a valid excuse either.  As far as the receipts not paid, another lie.  I have receipts and canceled checks to prove that they were all paid.  And futhermore I have yet to receive the paid invoice for the gutters that he has promised several times.   I do feel he needs to provide a reimbursement because I now have to have someone come and not only finish the job but also correct it.  Since the original complaint was filed, we have had issues with gutters that he pulled away from the house and never put back.  In fact one of those gutters came down last weekend, luckily no one was injured but it should have never happened.   If need be I can provide proof of all of my statements.

There has to be a better way of resolving this issue then the he said/she said.  I have provided pictures unfortunately it only allowed me to send 4 photos.   Since the original complaint was filed we have had some further issues other then it is not done.   One of the gutters that was partially removed during the roofing process ended up coming off the roof because it wasnt secured properly.  Shortly after that a piece of roof on the back of the house was flipped up and damaged as well as the piece beside it was damaged as well.   Over our porch on the roof are holes where a screw was put in and then removed.  The drip edge is not properly aligned and secure.  The one piece of gutter that he did place doesn't even go to the corner of the house in addition to that it isn't pitched correctly so the water doesn't run out like it is supposed to do.  The screws in the roof in places are too tightly put in that they are dimpling the roof it self.  We have also noticed that on the front of the house there are screws from the ridge to the gutter, however on the back of the house the screws only go half way down.  This is leaving the back of the house not secure at all.  And I don't believe that this is an issue of he was going to do it later.  I firmly believe he had no idea what he was doing.  We are going to have to have an actual licensed contractor come and give us an estimate on what needs done to repair the mistakes that he has made.   In response to his claim of his offer to fix or have someone come and finish it the work, that has never been mentioned to me prior to now.  And I would have a very hard time trusting anyone he would send to me.  And this excuse of his parents falling ill isn't even a ligitament excuse.  His mother was not ill unitl DECEMBER, he started the roof the first of OCTOBER.  It is a job that should have been done long before his mom got sick.   He should consider himself lucky that we are only asking for partial reimbursement instead of the entire amount back.   As far as the invoices he states are not paid, I cant pay if I dont have the bill.    If it is for the chimney, I am not paying that since I didnt ask for a new chimney I just wanted a boot for the one that was there.
