Good afternoon. I spoke to a lady at the Revdex.com office & she gave me your email to file my complaint. The first week of Jan. I bought a 2002 [redacted] for $1699 from[redacted] at T and T Auto Sales and Body Shop in[redacted]. ([redacted], TN 38358 ([redacted]). It was making an odd noise so the owner,[redacted], gave me a guarantee to fix any problems within the first year. Within 3 days it broke down. Unable to get in touch with him, I paid a local mechanic $360 for a tow and radiator repair. He told me there were so many things wrong with the car (gaskets, oil leak, etc.) it would be better for[redacted] to replace it. Within the next mo. I had[redacted] look at it 3 times and each time he claimed it was fixed but it only drove for a few days each time before rattling, smoking, and dying. He asked me to bring it it the last week of Feb. and it died on the road. The kids and I have been stuck with no transportation since then. He said it needed a new motor andwould take care of it, but keeps putting me off, finally ignoring me altogether until today. (I asked it be done asap or I would have to take legal action, and he told me he HAD NOT been working on it, has no intention to, and won't give me my money back.) I need help- I've sunk all I had into this car and I can't buy another unless he refunds me the cost. I also want the $360 in repairs if possible. Thanks in advance for your help.Business Response The vehicle, a 2001 [redacted], was sold to Ms. [redacted] and was sold "AS IS" on January 9, 2014 for $1500.00. We do not give guarantee's on our vehicles and the invoice she signed when she purchased the vehicle plainly states that there is no warranty. However we do try to treat our customer's right. Ms. [redacted] brought the car back to me shortly after she purchased it and I did replace the starter, FREE OF CHARGE. The last week of February she ran the car out of water and it blew the motor up. She didn't have any money to pay for repairs or to replace the motor. I told her, since her family has purchased several vehicles from me that I would see what I could do to help her out. I have purchased a replacement motor for the vehicle, which cost me $1500.00 and I was going to put it in her vehicle, free of charge. This was being done as a courtesy and I am a business with other customers. I have to complete jobs that are going to pay before I can work on jobs that are free. It is unfortunate that I couldn't complete this for her as quickly as she would have liked and that she is not satisfied with the service I tried to provide for her.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Mr. [redacted] DID offer to fix anything wrong with the car if anything went wrong in the first year. I have two witnesses,[redacted] and[redacted], to attest that fact. I also have a series of texts indicating he has been working on it and it's "almost finshed", even though when I either called or got a ride to pick it up it was NOT finished and I was not allowed to see it. I need either a working vehicle or a refund, like Mr. [redacted] agreed to. I have three kids, two who are disabled, and we are stuck here.Final Business Response Final Consumer Response No, my complaint has not been resolved. I still haven't heard from Mr. [redacted]. My sister passes ** his business daily and my car hasn't moved. It's still not being fixed. Thank you- [redacted]

Took 300$ deposit did not disclose conditions nor terms On 8/19/2014 I seen a 2003[redacted] on [redacted] from an individual agreed to come get the car the next afternoon, when I arrived it was on a car lot,[redacted] in [redacted], upon looking at the car we were told they just replaced the engine, I drove the car and all seemed fine, got back to the lot and told them I wanted it, it automatically went to "can you come back tomorrow and get it, I need to service and go over it again". He then asked if I could put down a 300$ deposit (no where in this building is signs saying no refunds) I gave [redacted] my 300$ deposit and he gave me a receipt again nothing stating no refunds. I left and got a gut feeling something wasn't adding up with the whole deal from the ad on [redacted] to the end, so I decided not to go and buy the car and sent a text and said I'll come pick my deposit up and got a reply of "ok". Get there to pick my deposit up at 4:20 pm he tells me he was unaware of anything being mentioned about not wanting the car or coming to get the deposit but have the text to prove it went to whomever it was had talked to about the car the entire time from time of finding the ad! . He states there is nothing he can do about the deposit tell the next day tell he talked to the owner /in his words person who delt with the money . Keeping in mind was the one who had asked and taking the 300 and wrote receipt The day before. So he said to call him at 8:00 the next morning was unable to call first thing so called at lunch he stated he had not talked to the owner yet for me to call back a little while later and I said well better yet when u get a chance how about u call me back when u talk to the owner . Still have not received a call . I called back at 330 and I got no answer . I have now at this time also found out threw Internet search of business that the same man [redacted] that took the deposit , and wrote receipt is , and same one who has gave me a run around about talking to the owner is low and behold the owner him self ! Desired SettlementI just want my refund of 300 that was never even technically talked about tell after driving the car . Cause was a cash price of 1600 for the car I had the 1600 day of driving the car and intention on leaving with it that day. They knew the day prior to driving was coming to look and drive with intention of buying .The car having to still be serviced after I drove it was totally their choice not mine I should not have even had to pay a deposit to begin with
