Review: On Wednesday, November 5th, 2014, two gentlemen - [redacted] and [redacted] Jr. knocked on my door and offered to seal my asphalt driveway for $700.00. They had a valid PA contractor's license (I checked this for accuracy with the State Attorney General's office) and provided a contract that included a three-year guarantee. Their claim was that the sealant was asphalt-based, not latex-based as Home Depot and Lowe's sell - so that it would last much longer. Their price included all pre- and post-application clean-up, and Frier, Jr. told me that I could even take a hose to the driveway, and the sealant would not be damaged or wash off because it was asphalt-based. They performed the service: cleaned everything off the driveway, sealed the driveway, and I gave them a check for $700.00 after signing a contract with them. I was told I could walk on the driveway but not to drive on it for 24 hours. Within the next several hours after T & T sealed the driveway (at around 3:00 a.m.), rain showers started and lasted most of Thursday and part of Friday. As the driveway began to dry, I saw that there were several large patches of driveway where the sealant had washed off; in addition, even though I waited until Friday late morning - 36 hours after the sealant was applied - to drive on my driveway, the sealant adhered to my tires and shoes. I have tire and shoe tracks in my garage, and some of the sealant had splashed up on my garage door. I have been calling the company since Friday and have left 3 voice mails noting my dissatisfaction and asking them to call me to discuss. They have never returned my calls. Today, Nov. 12, I called again and heard a recorded announcement that the number's voice mail box was full and I could not leave a message. I have contacted the State Att'y. General's office and they are sending me a complaint form. However, I wanted to make a formal complaint to the Revdex.com in an effort to resolve this issue.Desired Settlement: I feel that T & T Contractors should either return and re-seal the driveway or refund my $700.00 for a job so poorly done. In addition, because the Friers have made no apparent effort to return my calls and make good their work, I feel that I have been defrauded.
