T & T Floor Installation & Sales

Review: On Jan 4th,2013,I contracted with T&T Floor Installation and Sales to install approximately 450 sq.ft of prefinished oak flooring at my [redacted] Pa. house. This product Was purchased by them was purchased by them at [redacted], who at last check on their web site had 86 complaints filed against them This work was to be done prior to my move in on Jan. 26,2013. The total price of this job was $3,994. They were paid in full after a confirmation with the office mgr at the complex where I reside that the work was completed. Upon move in, I did a walk through and noticed several gaps between the floor boards. I immediately called the sales rep [redacted] to report this situation. He eventually stopped at my house and arranged to have someone stop by to correct the problem. Their idea of correcting the problem was to have someone come over with 3 tubes of caulking to fill in all of the gaps. I was totally upset with this and again called their office. It wasn't until April that the owner of the company showed up with 2 men who had scrapers. Their new plan was to scrape out all of the wooid putty and fill all of the cracks with wood filler and apply minwax oak stain They worked for a few hours, gave up and handed me the can of wood filler and stain and left. The owner disappeared earlier without even telling me he was leaving. All I can say is This is totally unprofessional and I am very upset over the entire situation. The people at [redacted] said they needed pictures sent to the contractor before they could attempt to remedy this. The pictures were sent to T&T months ago and nothing has been resolvedDesired Settlement: A full refund plus the cost of the rip out and reinstall of a new floor by a reputable flooring company. That will now cost me $7,450 which I have a written estimate for.

[redacted] contacted our company to install hardwood flooring for him. We brought him an oak hardwood sample based on his price point. The sample was an oak flooring sample from [redacted]. The reason we brought him a sample from this particular store was to help him stay in his price point. It was not because we have anything to do with benefiting from selling [redacted] wood for our own personal gain. He agreed to the wood. We installed the wood while **. [redacted] was away at his other home in New York. As he mentioned, the supervisor of the building came in to check on the job as it was being done. We explained there was a little bit of miss-milling because of the nature of this particular wood ( we realized this upon install ). He told us to keep going with the install, that it looked great. He is the one who "signed off" on this job to say it looked great and was completely acceptable. When **. [redacted] came to his home in Pennsylvania he saw some gaping that he was not happy with.
