So your reason for the over charge is you paid two employees to vacuum out a rats nest and replace one vacuum lineits buckles to remove the housingAt least I can sleep at night as I don't fleece peopleI stand by my complaint, maybe you should hire people who can do a job in a timely manner

Hi, Yes I remember youAs far as your complaint we do open at 8am but everyone comes in at 7am to catch up on work from the day beforeI had two guys working on the rats nests, getting the actual rat that was in there, and fix a vacuum line that we had to replace through the firewall
which takes a while to do since its behind the engine in your RV I do have photos that show a part of the rats nest that was on top of the motor for reference I've checked locally at other shops for their hourly rates and we are lower than all of the ones around here so the $an hour I don't feel is unreasonable in the least If I had just one guy working on it the total amount of time I had the two of them that would have come to $605, so I helped keep your cost down.I have your ticket in front of me your total was $641.54, of that total $was for an oil change, which included checking the belts on the motor which we had to clean out to perform that properly, checking the transmission fluid, lubing the chassisYou did sign off on the receipt stating that you acknowledged the satisfactory completion of described work. If you feel you have been "fleeced" I'm sorry about that because we have never done that to anyone, and your the first one to have this complaint in the 7+ years we have been here So we do not fleece people, we give people quality workmanship for a fair price and I stand by thatI know we treat people right because we have a large base of returning customers In conclusion, I do not see any unfairness in this transaction

I'm sorry its taken so long to respond but here is our conclusion They had been customers here for a while, and I can't tell you how many times we have helped them out with issues on the RV's they ownThe majority of their complaint is about a motorhome that is near years old We
have noticed that they like to "tinker" with them to try and fix it themselves and that usually led to making a larger issue that we would always try to help them by moving our schedules around to get them in so they could get back out on the roadThey have come by numerous times for advice on how to fix things and we have done a lot of quick fix jobs for them that we never charged for out of customer appreciation. The other motorhome that is talked about here is 10+years old as wellThey state in their complaint that after they picked it up later that evening they tampered with the awning that we had worked on I've attached photos that were sent to me showing a tear in the canvas just millimeters long They state that you can see the tear with the set screw removed I can't say what happened when they removed the set crew originally but I can say that the awning in question was in good working order when it left here As for the rusty screw, they were trying to do this job as cost effective as possible as seen in the rusty awning track in the photo'sThey could have asked us to replace everything that shows signs of wear but they expressed they just wanted the canvas replacedWe have always tried to do our best for them, and make it so both parties are happy and so I will one last time.We will give them a refund for their $under the following conditionsThey bring their motorhome back so we can remove the canvas free of charge They awning canvas can not show signs of damage besides that of wearThey must bring their original receipt back

Ok, I will give you a counter offer to end this dispute.  But I do want to make it known I do know my position in this dispute and I'm not afraid of the the Revdex.com says of my business because I still have people coming here regardless because of our customer service and the care we do have for customer's satisfaction because I hear it every day.   So here is your deal, you can use your canvas until it rips and you can go somewhere else and get it replaced.  I will mail you a check where ever you want for the amount on the ticket.

OK, I've talked with the mechanics that worked on your RV.  Evidently with you motor being a V10 there is an opening under the intake manifold that runs from the front all the way to back of the motor.  This small area is very hard to access from the front of the motor as seen in the photos shown from the front of the motor. This small space was packed tight with cactus and seed pods, insulation, and the rat itself.  It took us a while to remove everything out from between each cylinder head being only accessible by a small opening in the rear on the engine. That is why we had to go from the dog house inside the cab. This rats nest, as you recall we did tell you has been something that compiled over months and not just on your last trip as you had thought, I just want you to remember that, this is not a small ordeal that the animal had maybe 4 days to do this, this was over a long period of time this had been built. If you wanted a halfway job, you could have gone somewhere else and maybe it would have been cheeper but I think no matter where you went it would have been right around this price.  And verbally attacking me isn't going to change your situation, I know the work it took and I know it was done the right way and thats what matters to me. As well I do not appreciate you being derogatory against my mechanics, I have near 100 completed jobs a month with the guys I have here.  I know they are not slow workers, they work very hard to provide good work and solutions for peoples RV's. I did already give you a chance to talk to Dan and see if he would have given you a break on the work order but you turned that down.  You could have left the RV here until he returned 3 days later but you picked it up and signed off that everything on that work order was ok with you.  That being said and I don't feel that anything is out of place here I will not reconsider this complaint.

My apologies for the delay in responding to your message. As per my conversation with Ms. [redacted], our assigned mediator, we received your e-mail after we were already on the road. This is the first opportunity I have had to connect to WiFi and write my response. First, I find it ironic that the merchant, knowing we were planning to leave at the end of the month, chose not to respond to either my letter, nor to the first two contacts from the Revdex.com. They did not respond until receiving a courtesy call from Revdex.com at which time they knew we would be leaving or already gone.Second, in their response, the merchant indicates that the majority of our complaint concerns our 1990 Winnebago Class C RV. Although we did have several issues concerning that motor home that we addressed directly to the merchant, our complaint to the Revdex.com was specific to the other motor home, our Class A Damon Intruder and the slide cover the merchant installed.  However, since they have brought the Class C motor home into the discussion, I wish to address the statements they made. The merchant states that we like to"tinker" with the motor home, creating bigger problems which we then bring to them to resolve. This is patently false. Any tinkering that has been done rests solely with the merchant and their  employees. Although we have on occasion asked the merchant's advice about various issues, anything that we have undertaken to do ourselves has been done without further complications. The only items that we returned to the merchant to correct are things that they had done incorrectly, such as installing a ventilation fan so that it draws that air in from the outside, rather than expelling the air from the inside, and failing to properly install the 12-volt batteries that connect to our solar panel system which created a number of problems. To my knowledge, they only thing they have done at no charge was to fix their incorrect installation of the ventilation fan.Regarding the central issue of my complaint to the Revdex.com, (the slide cover for our Class A motor home) the merchant states that the awning was "in good working condition" when it left their shop. As I discussed with Ms. Hill this is also untrue. The fabric, which should roll evenly and without wrinkles was full of wrinkles and creases. When we brought this to the merchants attention, his response was that if we leave the slide open, the heat of the sun will straighten out the wrinkles in the slide cover. The photos which I sent to the merchant, and submitted in addendum to my complaint to the Revdex.com show that this is not the case. In fact, there were several other residents at the RV resort whose slide covers were damaged in the same windstorm, who sought the services of a mobile installer specializing in awning replacement. His evaluation of the slide cover was that it was improperly cut and installed incorrectly. As we are currently on the road, I am unable to attach his estimate, however, since we need to return to Arizona for an appointment with my medical specialist, I will be happy to forward this to you upon our return. Per my conversation with Ms. Hill, she will then re-open the case so that it can be resolved. In conclusion, I make the following counter-proposal. Upon our return to Arizona, the merchant can arrange a time with us to retrieve their awning fabric and provide the refund of the $342.00. There has been no damage or alteration to the awning and we will gladly return their original receipts to them.Thank you again for your consideration. I look forward to your response.   Sincerely,[redacted]
