T W Doers Investment Firm

This business is ran by two shady brothers who are out to con people for their money. I invested 5,000 with this company as I was told this is a investment firm. Never got my money back. Now having to proceed with a lawsuit. Don't trust this business as it is ran by scam artists. None of their workers are certified they find people off the street to do the work. Run away as fast as you can.

I entered into a labor only agreement with Rufus *** of T.W. Doers on 9/29/19. The work was to be completed within 30-45 days. The written agreement included:
1) "repair roof to meet code city of Atlanta" - Nothing was done to code. They reused existing shingles. After the first hard rain in January 2020, the roof leaked into the living room.
2)" exterior paint trim repair bad board" - Exterior painting was done. Scraping was done, better on one side of the house than the other. No bad boards were repaired. on the exterior of the house, however, caulking was done. There is still a square opening one of the boards on the back of the house. Paint from the exterior is on the grass and some shrubbery.
3)" foundation need repaired," - Nothing was done to the foundation.
4)"exterior windows need repair and replace,' - Nothing was done to the windows.
5)"plumbing: kitchen, bathroom," - No plumbing was done in the kitchen. Vanity was installed in the master bathroom and the faucets were installed backwards. No Shallow Escutcheon was used to conceal the hole in the wall or floor around the water supply pipe in any bathrooms. quarter round and molding was not completed in any bathrooms.
6)"electrical: light fixtures electrical sockets working properly up to code," - another electrician, not associated with T.W. Doers was called in to check that electrical sockets were working properly. T.W. Doers put up face plates incorrectly.
7) " framing around window frame interior & exterior," - One window was framed to shorten a kitchen window, however, the interior was left with a hump.
8) "interior trim needs repair," - Not done
9) "interior paint," - The one thing that was done well and completed.
10)" floors need to be sanded throughout the house." - floors were sanded, weaved areas were not replaced with the correct wood or stain. One hallway was not sanded smoothly.
11)"install kitchen cabinets counter tops appliances, fixtures and accessories," - Not done
12)"closet accessories," - Not done
13)"Sheetrock needs repaired throughout house," - sheetrock was not done to enclose the wall behind the vanity.
14) "dumpster/demo," - no dumpster. Trash was removed consistently until the end he left the job.
12)"miscellaneous" included building a pantry - work started on the pantry, not finished.

Additional issues:
1) bathroom vanity mirror was broken and put in the master bath closet behind other items
2) under mount kit for the kitchen sink is missing along with other bathroom hooks
3) He charged $500 to turn the kitchen floor tiles in the right direction, however, he did not know how to lay a floor correctly. It needed leveling and even where it was level, the planks had gaps and he said it was laid correctly. A flooring company was called in by the owner to install the floor correctly.
4) The wrong size blinds were purchased for 7 of 15 windows.
5) One floor vent is the wrong color. One vent has no cover.
6) T.W. Doers' service was to pick up the material needed for the work from Home Depot and Sherwin Williams, i.e, blinds, paint, vent covers, door handles with the chargers applied to the owner's commercial account. The charges were approved by phone. A review of receipts revealed that he was purchasing material that never came to the property and purchased tools to do the work, i.e., mop, bucket, saws, countertop, kitchen cabinet, front door locks, sanders, sanding supplies, paint brushes, quarter round and molding, etc. More quarter round and molding was purchased than was needed in the property, however, quarter round and molding work in the property was not completed.
7) I agreed to pay him because he said he had to pay his guys, however, I discovered from them at the end, that he had not paid them and said he hadn't because I hadn't paid him, which was not true. Unfortunately, he was paid the full $16,000, plus $500 for the floor and $185 to pick up cabinets the owner had installed by the cabinet sellers' vendor.
