on our SPP(Service Partner Plan) to which she eluded she may sign up for this but would make the decision with the technician. [redacted] was read a fee of $221.00 to perform these services. Our technician Nick was dispatched to her home to perform the above mentioned, "AC Clean & Service". Nick performed the clean and service by cleaning both the indoor and outdoor coils. Performed an inspection of all necessary equipment. Tested all electrical components. Flushed and checked evaporator drain. Noticed and informed [redacted] she needed to replace her 16X25X5 honeywell filter. pressure tested and checked for proper temperature drop across the coil. to which, the airflow all checked out. During testing our technician Nick found a capacitor to be bad. A price was given in the amount of $494.80 for the installation of the capacitor. Additional pricing was given for the for SPP in the amount of $17.00 per month, AC Clean and Service in the amount of $206.10(Which is the original amount of $221.00 read to [redacted] less tax). The total estimate presented to [redacted] was in the amount of $738.39. Authorization from the customer to proceed with the work was approved and signed off on. Our technician Nick, installed the approved part(capacitor) and checked system operation. System was now up to manufactures specifications. On 8/*/16 [redacted] called back in to our offices to dispute the charges stating she was told the monthly billing was for the part that was needed. We advised her we are a C.O.D company and did not offer this type of billing service. We resolved the issue to [redacted] satisfaction. On 11/*/16 [redacted] called back into our offices to dispute more charges. She stated, after researching the part that was installed at her residence(Capacitor) she feels the price she was charged held too much of a mark-up. Mike P[redacted](HVAC Operations Manager) attempted to contact [redacted] several times to resolve issue. Spoke To [redacted] on 11/**/16 and informed her of the following. T.Webber is a flat rate company who provides flat rate pricing. All of our pr icing are given up front and authorization via a signature is required prior to starting any work. We do not bill in a per hour fashion. We have found; our customers do not like the uncertainty of open ended billing and prefer knowing exactly how much the job will cost. T.Webber has issued a refund back to [redacted]s credit card in the amount of $200.00 in the at tempts to retain [redacted] as our customer and quell any further disputes in pricing.
