Tabor's Heating and Air Conditioning

This complaint is lodged against [redacted], owner of [redacted]'s Heating and Air Conditioning in Chicopee, MA. Mr. [redacted] unneccesarily installed a thermostat in the residence of [redacted] (who is nearly ** years old), [redacted] Massachusetts and charged her $60 for the thermostat and incorrectly diagnosed the problem which he charged for two $80 service calls. The correct nature of the problem was identified by licencsed HVAC technician, [redacted] It simply involved the normal operation of the blower in conjunction with the air conditioning unit. Mr. [redacted] refused to return the total of $220 and also refused to send a bill for the amount which he neglected to do upon his visits. A stop was placed on a second check to Mr. [redacted] in the amount of $140 while the first check to him in the amount of $80 cleared. Mrs. [redacted] is clearly entitled to a refund of $80.Desired SettlementMrs. [redacted] is entitled to a refund of $80 for the first check given to Mr. [redacted].Business Response I,[redacted],am entering this statement as response to a complaint filed by Mr.[redacted] Mr. [redacted].Mr. [redacted] contacted me to go look at air conditioning problem at his house in [redacted].After meeting with his [redacted] at the location I diagnosed the a/c unit,everything was running fine,there was no problem with the equipment.After looking at thermostate someone had the fan in on position thus creating the fan to blow continuously.After discussing this with Mr.[redacted]'s [redacted] she decided to have me install a large display thermostate so her elderly mother would not have problems controlling right temperature and running correct fan mode switch.I returned for a follow up the preceding Monday,installed the new thermostat.Checked out the system one more time.Found everything to be running properly and in order.
