Complaint has been resolved by purchaser of the company

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meSincerely, *** ***

Please note as of this evening the complaint noted has been resolved and is no longer an issue that needs the Revdex.com assistance. Thank you. *** ***

*** had selected our "released value protection" which covers cents per LBIn this case, three items were damagedTwo small statues, and a candle holderShe will need to get the weight of these items by looking them up online (retail site) or have a estimate on what they weighWe then can
issue her a check accordinglyHere is information on the insurance selected straight from oregon.gov Option Released Value Protection/Almost No CoverageThis type of valuation pays up to cents per pound per article for any lost or damaged articleFor example, it would pay a maximum of $for a 50-pound table ($x lbs.)You are not required to pay an extra charge for this option
The only way we would even consider her request for $(even though we legally do not have to) would be if she removes her and defamatory remarks about our company onlineExample, here is a part of one of her reviewsShe states " Nothing was wrapped or protected"This would mean we didn't use any shrink wrap, or blankets in the truckShe also had provided wrapping paper for itemsThis would dismiss the notion that we used those as wellOnce again a statementAnother quote- "The packer that they sent was awful, breaking several things while packing" several items would consist of more then three, which is all that was damagedUnofrtunaltey *** has a reputation of slandering local businesses that aside from her, have positive feedbackHere is a link to her profile on one of the social media sites. ***
She also mentions in her review that we issued a "BOGUS" siest letterIn the letter to you guys she deems in as "threatening"Well, which is it? Her goal is simply to trash local businesses in her spare time which seems to be quite heftyI can only imagine how many times she has contacted the Revdex.comA note to ***If she wants to remove her negative and remarks then the $or more could be issuedIf the remarks are worth $to her, then we will stick to the payout of cents per LB

In response to complaint #***,Northwest Movers did have *** *** scheduled for a move last August of When we are in a bind or jobs happen to run longer then planned, we do have another local company that we work closely withIf one of these situations arise, they will step in to
assist usThe local company we use is one of the higher rated companies in the state of OregonIn this particular situation, one of our employees dispatched this company to *** *** by errorHe simply sent them to the wrong address, which ended up being ***Now I will get into the legal aspect of out of state moves. For loading services, there is no insurance provided once the door is closed on the truck being loadedYes goods are insured while OUR movers are still working with themHowever, once the goods are loaded onto the truck, and the door is shut, the insurance is no longer existentFor example, if something occurred while a company was loading the truck, then we would take the correct action which would result in reimbursementSince the consumer had a truck that was not provided or going to be driven be a NW Movers representative, their goods while in transport, are not insured through the companyThis isn't just a NW Movers policyThis is nationwideYou will not find a moving company that will insure goods that they themselves are not transportingWhy? Its simpleThe company cannot take liability for how the customer drives the truck while in transitHigh speeds, rocky roads, sharp turns, etcThere are many examples of why moving companies do not insure goods in which they are not transportingIt wouldn't make much sense for a truck that was driven off a cliff (driven by the customer) to be insured through a company that is not in possession of transporting the goods themselvesA consumer could technically light their truck on fire and say, "hey we'd like a reimbursement on all of our goods we just set on fire."Had we been transporting the goods with our trucks and our team, then the goods would be insuredMadison WI is quite a ways from Portland ORThere is a numerous amount of infractions that could happen throughout the drive with bumps, turns, shaking etc. However, if the homeowner has homeowners insurance, or renters insurance, there is a good chance that she can receive compensation for the goods that were damaged during transit

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
They only truth that *** said in the response was that she checked me into the motel
Regards,
*** ***

As you know Mrs. [redacted] checked in with me personally on May 13th along with 2 other rooms that family had made reservations. Mrs. [redacted] did check in around 1:30pm and at that time there were no issues reported.  Later that evening I got a call from the owner to come down to the office....

When I came in Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] were very loud in the office.  I approached them and asked about the issues and they both got louder and louder, I asked them to wait until we had another guest checked in and out of the ofice.  They then got into my space and was yelling and pointing at me almost touching me complaining about the owner. He did tell them that they could leave.By this time everyone in the office is upset. Mrs. [redacted] is saying that the owner cursed her and the employees and another guest witnessed that he did not curse at her. At this point with everyone yelling I asked what was the problem and that I would fix them.  Once again they were in my space and even more aggressive, so I called  911 feeling threatened.  They did not want me to fix the room they just wanted to yell and make noise in the lobby. After the police got hear I think I heard an officer tell Mr. [redacted] that if he didn't control himself he was going to jail. After they left I personally inspected the room and did find a bath towel on back of the bathroom door and a pair of men's underwear and pants in a drawer.  The room was cleaned and rented for the night.  One of the family members came over and apologized to me for their issues.Any other questions, feel free to email me.[redacted]    Property ManagerDays Inn Bedford
