It is our understanding that the vacuum was brand new in that it had never been sold nor used prior to its sale to the consumerThe
vacuum had been purchased from us by the dealer some years before it was sold to the consumerOur manufacturer's warranty was effective as of the date of the consumer's purchaseNotwithstanding that fact, the consumer was unhappy and the selling dealer offered to exchange the vacuum for one made this year
We believe the consumer no longer wanted to do business with the original dealer
It is our understanding that this matter is resolved through another Riccar dealerThe consumer spoke to our office earlier this week and agreed to visit a dealer in Olathe and return the Immaculate canister model that she purchased from the first Riccar dealer for a Radiance upright model (R30PET)We shipped that replacement Radiance to the dealer on 12/We called the dealer to confirm that it arrived on 12/and asked the dealer to contact the consumer
We received notice of this complaint later in the day and, as stated above, will confirm that the consumer's exchange is implemented
