To whom it may concern:I received a letter regarding a complaint number [redacted] The matter was regarding a home I sprayed for fleas my response is as follows.I sprayed the customers entire backyard and front yard This treatment included every square inch of her yard The chemical used was mixed at the highest rate possible by the label on the bottle The customer called a week later and claimed the flea problem was still there and hadn’t changed at all I returned to the customers home the day she called We went into the backyard together to check the “traps” she put out in her yard These traps were homemade and were pie tins filled with water and dish soap She pointed out all the tiny specks in the water and claimed there were 30-fleas in there She mentioned that when fleas die they become completely flat and they are hard to even tell that they are fleas I then asked if we could go inside and have her show me more evidence of the problem inside We went into her master bedroom and she showed me on her bed the “fleas” that were on her quilt What she showed me, in my opinion, was small little specs of dust and dirt that had come off of her dogs when they lay on her bed I then asked her if she could produce any fleas from her dogs at the current moment because they had just gone outside with us before we came back inside She incessantly brushed her light colored dog until she finally gave up and couldn’t find any fleas on her dog The customer produced a small baggie made for snacks and said she captured all the fleas she could and put them in this bag I inspected the bag with a magnifying glass that she provided to me that she keeps on her kitchen table Again, the inspection I made showed small pieces of dirt and dry skin from her dogs I asked if I could keep the baggie for further inspection and she was fine with me taking it with me when I left I told her I would consult with her soon and get back to her as soon as I had more information for her After I left her home, I went directly to a veterinarian clinic less than a mile away from her home I handed the baggie that she gave me to the receptionist and asked for her to take it to the vet in the back for verification of the fleas present She took it back and the vet said that it looked like dry skin and dirt from brushing a dog I asked how much it would cost me to have them look at her dogs and check for fleas and she said it wouldn’t cost anything just to have them checked I had my wife call the customer because she handles all of the calls and office work She mentioned that in order for us to come back and do more spraying for her we had to have proof that there were in fact fleas on her dogs She told us she wasn’t going to take her dogs anywhere and we needed to come back and spray again We have not heard back from the customer until we received a letter from the Revdex.com stating she wanted her money back for the service There was no evidence of fleas after we returned after our original spray We have made multiple attempts to contact this customer and she hasn’t returned our phone calls. In my opinion, the job was completed and the service took care of the original problem mentioned by the customer She was told that she had to prove that she had fleas by taking her dogs to the vet and get them checked out, which was free The “proof” she gave me in the baggie was inspected by a pest control professional and also a veterinarian and neither of us could find any fleas Her original service was on 10-10-and she claimed she contacted us on 11-29-2015, which is a sunday We are closed on sundays so there is no way she could have spoken to me on the day stated If the customer needed something taken care of she could have called and talked to me, the owner, about the issue especially since I was the one that sprayed her house to solve the issue she was having at the time. Her desired settlement is to get her money back She stated, “He claimed I did not have fleas, which I do, but even if they were not fleas, pest control company can kill any bugs in your yard” This statement shows her confusion as to what “pests” are even present in her yard If she takes her dogs to the vet and the vet says that she has fleas, I will not only return her money but I will pay to have another company of my choosing come and spray her entire yard again Since she had declined to prove that she does have fleas and hasn’t returned any of my phone calls I am unable to do another treatment or return her money
