Taddeis Back Mountain Transmission Service

Review: Taddei Transmission replaced a transmission in my Chevrolet dump truck in 12-2009. The replacement and labor cost a total of around $2000.00, and a two year warranty on this replacement. This dump truck is not a company vehicle this is used for personal purposes when used. This vehicle is not a company vehicle , as stated it is a personal vehicle that at the most would perform no more then 100 miles per year. The dump truck was used in November of 2012 to purchase a load of topsoil for our personal property. As unbelievable as it was, the reverse gear had been lost. Hard to believe within the second year of this transmission being replaced withsupposebly all new parts that the reverse gear would be lost from this transmission. After several attempt to contact **. [redacted] Taddei ; finally on November 26, I had faxed a request to this business for someone to call me back regarding the issue wiht the reverse gear on this replaced transmission. As I returned home that day 11/26 there was finally a message from ** Taddei; stating we could drop the truck off to be looked at; but at that time the warranty was gone and only somekind of discount if any would be honored. And he was very busy so he did not know how long the review and repair would take. After two weeks we called ** Taddei back for status of our vehicle, he stated he was really usy but someone would look at the truck that week. Funny that our next call a few days later stated the part that was used for the reverse gear was gone - it is call the bands and had to be replaced. Very strange how supposebly NEW bands were bad after two years on a vehicle that is hardly ever driven. It appeared to our knowledge that this seemed to be very strange, and maybe new parts were not used in time of the replacment. That is the only way a part this young would break , cause if it was a defauted part the issue would of happened very soon after the replacement. Then to our surprise another call was made to us telling us that all of the gas lines, oil lines , etc were rotted and needed to be replaced. Wow how funny that a truck sent into the shop for the reverse gear to be fixed, now how more issues that they are requesting to complete and charge me additional parts & labor charges. When my husband refused to allow additional parts & labor to be charged; the professionalism of this garage changed for the worse. Two weeks later still no call that the truck was repaired, I called the shop and left a message for status of the repair; no response. We went to the garage that next weekend to pick up the truck whether it was fixed or not and funny how it was outside the garage and covered with snow. At that time in PA we did not have snow except for the week before we went to the garage to pick up the truck. This resulted in the truck being done for atleast a week; but as stated ** Taddei was not professional enought to call us back and let us know the repair was complete. And this unprofessinal status was because of the refusal my husband made from letting them replace more parts and charge us more money. Funny how **. Taddei couldnt be professional about the issue wiht the repair but charged me almost $1500.00 to get the bands replaced and the tranny in working condition. Well now it is July 10 2013. This dump truck has been majorly leaking transmission fluid and has only been driven twice since the repair in December of 2012. My husband is the only person that is insured and drives this truck. He has major spine surgery in March of this year and was not allowed to drive any type of vehicle as this dump truck till a month ago; which he them noticied the major transmission fluid leak. I called **. Taddei a month ago concerning this leak and needed the truck to be re-repaired. He did not call us back. I sent a fax to his business the next day requesting a call back concerning the issue wiht the major tranny leak - still no call. Today my lawyers paralegal and myself called **. Taddei and of course there was not a answer and we left a message. I told **. Taddei I was leaving the 3rd message today from speaker phone , because this allowed me to have a witness of this call and that I need a call back and my truck repaired again. My money was more then good for **. Taddei, however I think his service and repairs should be as good as the money is.Desired Settlement: I do not feel that the performance by **. Taddei and his garage are professional nor a repair shop that is completing these repairs or replacements properly. Parts do not go in little under 2 years, specially heavy duty parts on a vehicle as a dump truck . I feel I paid too much monies to have a vehicle that is still broken. I have tried to have **. Taddei repair the vehicle correcly, however he will not answer our calls and try to make this right. I want **. Taddei to pay for the repair to this truck for this massive transmission leak; and I feel he should pay to have the transmission looked over by a professional garage that has the experience to complete this tranny job properly.
