To reiterate, the $100 admissions application fee is a fee that was not paid through or to TADS, rather it was paid to Friends Community School. Therefore, approval of the refund will be up to them. With regard to the financial aid application processing fee of $34 - that is a fee paid to TADS for the processing of the application. Your application was processed in full as previously mentioned; it was marked complete July 19th, 2017. After the application is marked complete, the remainder of the process is up to the school (making a decision on an award and notifying the applicant). We had not received a request from Friends Community School, therefore the application remained open. As the application was fully processed by TADS and marked complete, we cannot refund the $34 application processing fee.

I am rejecting this response because:
I completely understand Friends should have rendered a decision. However TADS and Friends should not have accepted any money knowing the school had no spaces. So in the future if TADS and the participating schools can verify whether nthey have openings them that way TADS doesn't process an application that will never be approved regardless because there are no spots. Friends as well should not take payments for applications if they too know there are no spaces. I paid not only TADS and Friends for nothing. No financial aid was rendered nor was the application rejected, approved, or denied. All I received after I paid said fees was application processed and friends notified me no spaces available. It seems unethical to take money based on no availability. So my application was never going to be processed either way. Even the second school never followed up either. When Consumers pay for something they are paying for a service. No goods or services were rendered for the money I paid for. So what was $134 in fees for? Just to submit my application. Yes I understand $34 was paid to TADS but then Friends asked for $100 for application fee. Both organizations did not provide a service at all.
