Aquaracer only lasts 2-4 years - Buyer Beware!
Purchased my Aquaracer WAY2112/0 in 2017 and now have to replace the movement for a second time in 6 years (first replacement was in 2019) with no inciting damage. So I’m basically on my 3rd movement and it’s getting very expensive. If I knew Tag Heuers only last for 2-4 years, I would not have purchased.

The timepiece was purchased March/ TAG Heuer provides a 2-year manufacturer warranty which has expired as of March/ TAG Heuer recommends the following to maintain the proper functioning of a timepiece (additional information may be found using the attached link):http://lvmhwj.force.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/What-should-I-do-to-ensure-the-... should I do to ensure the proper functioning of my watch? Clean it with a dry soft brush every 2-months Carry out a TAG Heuer maintenance service every 1-years to ensure the water-resistance of your watch Carry out a TAG Heuer complete overhaul every – years to ensure the proper functioning of your timepiece No manufacturer defect was identified in the timepiece An additional discount has been applied to the required service The customer is welcome to review the updated pricing utilizing the username/password originally supplied We remain at their disposal for any additional questions

Dear Customer,We thank you for your comments and apologize for your concerns.  You are welcome to contact TAG Heuer directly to provide a resolution.  [redacted]

The TAG Heuer warranty is applicable for 2 years from the date of purchase which was December 18th, 2014.  The timepiece was received at TAG Heuer for evaluation with water damage noted.  Upon further testing the watch passed all water resistance testing indicating the timepiece...

and seals did not fail.  Rusting on the crown indicates the crown was not properly secured prior to the timepiece being introduced to a water environment.  The timepiece is outside of the warranty timeframe and exhibits damage incurred due to improper use.  Charges will apply for the necessary service.
As a courtesy TAG Heuer will provide a discount.  Please contact your authorized TAG Heuer retailers for the details.

The timepiece was purchased March/2014.  TAG Heuer provides a 2-year manufacturer warranty which has expired as of March/2016.  TAG Heuer recommends the following to maintain the proper functioning of a timepiece.  (additional information may be found using the attached...

Dear Customer,We attempted to contact you via phone on September 21st at which time we left a message for you to call us at your convenience.  We did not receive a response.  To bring you up to date, we have replaced the bracelet with a new bracelet.  The timepiece has been delivered to [redacted] as of September 26th.  If you require further assistance please let us know.

We thank you for your input.  As discussed with the Supervisor, the TAG Heuer warranty stipulates the watch is to be serviced only through an authorized TAG Heuer Service Center while in warranty.  The locations are listed in the back of your warranty booklet and at www.TAGHeuer.com. ...

The only authorized location for the U.S. is TAG Heuer in Springfield, New Jersey.  Additionally, there are several impact marks which have contributed to the demise of the functionality of the timepiece.  Customer confidence and satisfaction are paramount to our organization and so as a one-time courtesy we will service the timepiece.  Please contact your jeweler to discuss the details.

We have communicated directly with the customer as of February 9th, 2018 and this issue has been resolved.

Review: Purchased a diamond bezel Tag watch at the Cypress store location. Last November my battery died and I paid $100 to have it fixed. The store that sent it in (Cypress) told me that if I did not go through Tag that my watch would no longer be warrantied. Therefore, I paid the $100 and had one of my watch batteries replaced through Tag. (I had another Tag that they wanted $200 to change but it was my back up so I had my jeweler change it for $14 in 5 mins with no problem) Meanwhile, they changed out my battery and told me that it was under warranty. It dies again 6mo later and when I was back at the store with it the girl recognized me, told me that it was still under warranty and said she would put a rush on it. I get a bill from Tag for $200! Furious, I call the store and tell them that they need to contact the repair dept and rectify this. She basically says that there is nothing she can do from the store that I purchased the watch from and that they will take what I spent in Nov. ($100) and deduct it from my new charges. I received a new bill just now and STRONGLY feel that this watch should still be warrantied. The manager told me that the battery has gone out (in six months) and that "new" repairs must be made. I am so upset with the situation that I would like to take Tag to Judge [redacted]'s office in small claims. He is a reasonable judge. Maybe after a customer with court experience takes them to a court they will then understand that you can not provide "guarantees" and "warranties" and six months later change your mind. I just left a message with the Cypress store, who did not follow up with me regarding the final decision on the warranty like she ([redacted]) said she would, but will let her know that I would like to speak with the regional manager who is the person that I would like to see in Judge [redacted]'s court. My next step is to take this to small claims court in Harris County Pct 5.Desired Settlement: Repair my watch with a new battery as indicated in your inflated pricing I paid in November that was told would be warrantied for 1yr

Review: This is a second complaint about a new issue with this business. After sending a working Tag Heuer watch to this authorized repair facilities (the only one in the US) to fix a broken link in the metal bracelet, I received an estimate for a $318 major overhaul. After an abhorrent exchange with customer service I declined the service which seemed excessive and beyond the scope of the problem (bait and switch tactics) and asked to have my watch returned to me. Today three weeks later I finally received my watch. It is now not functioning, appears to be hastily put back together one of the chronograph buttons is askew and not functioning. They effectively broke my watch and returned it to me. This is the most egregious situation I have encountered in some time. They have basically tried to charge me for service I did not need or ask for and them maliciously broken my property when I refused to pay.Desired Settlement: At this point I believe they should either pay a third party reputable jeweler (~$200 )to repair the time piece to its pre-inspection condition or replace it entirely with the current comparable model. Customer Invoice no.[redacted]
