To whom it may concern: I am writing to respond to this complaint because we at Tailored Cable and Sound take our work very seriousI can totally understand the frustration behind this complaint but also see the motive as wellWhen I had placed the bid in for this job cost was a big issueI had explained to them that a typical install of this nature was $but that I could get it done for $So understandably the first effect this has is quality of systemThere is no conduit hanging on the roof line as everything is secured safely as it should beThe shop owner had drilled one hole for a cash wrap placement no big deal as all wires were secured to their approvalAnybody in this business will have a material list that changes per job so yes I had ran out to get the necessary supplies needed for this particular installSo as a Telecommunications company and being a technician for many years the hardest install are the ones where the customer has very little knowledge about technology and following directionThe system has been demonstrated to them multiple times and I have instructed them on many occasions not to change the settings on the system or shut their router downThis has made many frustrating service calls which I had never charged forBroken cameras that have been blamed on us are of the fault of the owners for demanding an angle that was explained to them was past the cameras limits,but they demanded it anywaysOnce again wanting to conduct business in a professional manner we had replaced them once again at no additional cost to the ownersThe contract that this customer has a signed copy of is for a camera system installed and a network cable for the systemAll of this work was completed, as the customer has already received the new cameras and does not want us to return for replacementI think its horrible that people will try to get something for nothing and use this system as a soapbox to be heardI refuse the thought of any kind of refund as we believe we have many unpaid hours handling customer made service calls due to their ignoranceI believe the unpaid service calls should be a wash and a lesson learned from both parties has been had We appreciate this platform and believe the Revdex.com is a great tool for business and customers to try to resolve issues

We hired Matt of Tailored Cable and Sound to install a security system with 8 cameras. We already had a four camera system, but it was not working as I needed it to. Matt stopped in soliciting his business, my husband went over to [redacted] for a review of his work and they were happy with his work, so we decided to give him a try. He was nice and seemed sincere. He order [redacted] security system, I did research it is seemed it would meet our needs. Matt stopped I and said he would be here at 8:30 then next morning to start the install. Great! He did not arrive until after 10:30, no biggie we were here so did not care about the late arrival. He did call, late, to say he was looking for materials he needed to do the job and was having problems finding them? OK should have been a read flag since it took a week about to get the system you would have thought he would have everything to do the job. Guess not, ok so moving on. He arrived and started working immediatel

*** ***This has nothing to do with character or feelings It is business If I were looking for returned money, I would have asked for a full refund I am not I asked for half the money back because he did not complete the job and he left a mess and holes and lose conduit and we have to have it all fixed and get cameras that work with our system that are not from Hong Kong and are in colored Matt drove through our business parking lot last week My husband saw him He could have stopped in and tried to fix what he knows he did, but he didn't Just for his information, our business is doing quite well, we are not in need of this money to run our business, it is to get fixed what he did wrong We are very honest people and I as well am in no way trying to drag his name through the mud as I have not said a word to anyone about what he as done and I have quite a few social media avenues I could have reported his business or lack of business to But I didn't knowing he is trying to make a start with a new business here in Colorado It is not in me at all, to ruin someone's business or trash them I get a job can be messed up, but to have someone not stand behind what he did by breaking cameras, not telling us, then not coming back to fix them or the conduit or clean up his mess or replace the cameras with the same ones we have, that is the issue I do not want him back here to fix it for lack of trust that he will do a professional job I will spend as much time as I need to get this resolved and hold Matt responsible For him to try to attack our business and us to take the focus off of what the issue is, is very unprofessional of him I do not believe we are in anyway being unfair We are the ones left with broken equipment and two cameras that are black and white and you can not see clear with them We took them back down and for him to even say we demanded to have the cameras angled in a way they couldn't be angeled, we didn't even do that, but my husband went and took the broken cameras down and saw that all he had to do was loosen the brackets and the cameras could be angeled anyway he was trying to angel them Instead, he forced them and broke them on his own with out a word to us about it happening It is very disappointing to have to justify what he knows he did and try to put the blame and focus on us Please let me know where I need to go from here I will not let this drop, he knows he is in the wrong Thank you

I am rejecting this response because:This response shows how he is not truthful You have seen the emails and I have more He has ignored our messages and phone calls never did another service after he left from the install We have pictures showing the conduit is hanging We were very gracious to Matt and did a lot to help him with this install that took from 11am to after 7pm He showed me before he left after p.ma quick tour that he was stumbling through how to set it up He didn't even know how to get it setup on my phone or my computer, he kept referring to the material the company included and he still couldn't figure it out, he took my manual to call the company to see how to setup the program and had the manual for two days when I told him to bring it back so I could set it up as you see, I was a Field Tech Analyst for computers, then Team Lead Field Tech Specialist and Business Systems Analyst for over a year period I was employed before we ventured out and bought our own businesses So I think as far as knowledge, I qualify to be much more experienced that the regular Joe, I even helped him to go to fields to setup our system when he was here because he could not figure it out saying every system is different, which I do agree, but the basics are the same.He NEVER said that he broke the cameras, isn't that his responsibility We worked with him to angel the cameras yes we sure did, but never did he say the cameras couldn't take the angle, he said that he has to tape them to hold the angle not mentioning HE broke them, how does that become our fault when we didn't touch them? As far as the cost of the job When he came in we told him we could not afford a new system install, that we just bought the business and everything we have was being put to getting the business up and running and into advertising We have had theft problems and had a system in place but was not functioning as we needed it to we asked if he could just get our system up to par since neither of us had time to spend on it because we are in our busy season He walked outside and came back in and said, I can do a whole new system with HD cameras, recording, clear screen, blah, blah, blah We hesitated because that is still a lot of moneyHe said we could pay half down and half when he finished the job (which he did not finish the job) We talked about it and with the busy weekend 4th of July coming up, he said he could have it up and running in no time We finally said yes There was nothing difficult about the negotiation of the price We originally told him know that $2,was out of our price range and he is the one who came back with the offer not telling us that it would compromise the quality of the system he chose, he said it was a way better system in which we already had, which we had just purchased not long ago.He NEVER once showed us the work of the wires for our approval, like I said when we came in the next day we saw two cameras we not showing the views they were supposed to, so my husband went to see if they just were lose and came down and said how the conduit is not tight and if it rains, rain gets into the hole inside the walls and the camera was broke! As he was entering our back room to go check on the cameras, he saw that the wiring was left all over the floor, never secured or put away so my husband had to fix that too then went about checking the rest of the work and cameras and found another broken camera We immediately tried to call Matt, several times between to two of us Finally mid to late afternoon he finally called Brian said you broke to cameras and Matt responded oh yes, I already called the company and had them dropped shipped they will be here in a couple days So no working camera for the 4th of July weekend All his garbage was left up there he drilled multiple holes in the walls and we have pictures of it ALL he never sealed the holes you can see daylight through the hole There is caulking all over the roof that he could of used to seal the holes, ran screws through the shingles and never sealed them and so much moreWe have pictures of it all!My husband helped him pull wire, yes he drilled one hole but the rest were existing so he did not have to drill those or run wires to four cameras as that already existed The supply issue is he said he has done this for years which would mean to me that he should know in advance the materials he is going to need to do a complete job My husband spent time with him showing him exactly where things would need to be run for him to figure out necessary supplies.Yes he did say not to change anything in the system I did not change anything until he would not come back to fix some things so I was forced to read the manual and go in and see he had not even finished the setup He couldn't figure out how to even set the time and when I went in a few days ago to look at a playback, it was not even programed for the correct time I went through the whole setup with and had to setup mountain time, correct time, I had to set it up to have ALL cameras record as that was not working correctly either The more I looked at the program the more I saw he did not complete He was obviously irritated while doing the job and I asked him if there was something I could do to help because he looked agitated and he said no Miss ***, I got this, it is all good We were never at any time 'Demanding" of anything, we are very respectful people that would have said ok if he told us a piece of equipment couldn't do something, but he did not There were NEVER any service calls, I text him because things were not working on the camera so I had to work through it and found things wrong and sent him messages, of which I have them all, that ne NEVER responded too I finally figured it out on my own and was done with him, I was so frustrated after seeing what he did (did not do) that I did not want him back for fear of him doing something bad I felt I was trying to be fair in not asking for a full refund because I know he bought the system and put in hours (more than he should have, it should have only been a four hours or less job which he said in the beginning) But, he did not finish the job, never came back to fix anything like he said he would and I just got to the point where I told him to not step foot on our property as I was so mad for his lies and not doing professional job and feared he would do damage All along he never took responsibility but made excuses I don't mind things going wrong, crap happens, but not taking responsibility and trying to make us the bad people, that does upset me very much He states A LOT, that he has does this business for years but I find no trail of his business in anything I have tried to track I have an employee also who can verify these statements as I won't lie, I will do all I can to be honest and fair as in the end of this life I have a bigger person to answer to for any wrongs I committed and I am not willing to lie or deceive like Matt has just done numerous times.I also thought I was trying to handle this professionally by not calling a lawyer, I knew he could not afford one and did not want that expense or time put on either of us I just wanted him to come clean and fess up to his wrong doing and make it right, but I see now he is not willing to do that.I can supply pictures and all the communications that I have Please let me know how you would like to proceed If I am in the wrong, I would for sure stand up to that, I have not problem admitting when I am
