Adam Cs and his Tailwinds Retrievers fleeced me out of $275 three years ago and never delivered on a puppy claiming the entire litter died. This guy is a total con-man. I just filed a complaint with the Kanabec County Sheriff Office. If enough of us can come together, we can pursue criminal charges against this guy. Till then it would have to be in civil court.

Where is the second pup he promised?I did indeed send him a signed copy of the contractIn his own contract it states deposits are refundable when a puppy of desired sex,color and description is not available from the STATED litterPeriod there was no further contract.I know of another person who was promised the same and never received a pup eitherAdam can lie about his matter but I am curious what he has to say about the other person he STOLE money from.Whats your excuse and story going to be with GuyThis guy is a con man in my opinion.Buyer BEWARE!!!!!

I mistakingly hit the accept answer to my complaint I absolutely DO NOT accept the response of Adam ***, Tailwind RetrieversAs I stated in my complaint I was on the way to MN to pick up the puppy when he called me and said he had to put the puppies down the night beforeHe at that time offered a puppy from a litter he said would be whelped the first week of marchThat date has come and gone and he refuses to answer callNow he makes it sound as if I wasn’t going to take the puppyThat is just plain false! I told him I would take the next puppy that was due in March,Its now nearly September and he has been avoiding me by not answering callsI have a friend who put down a deposit for a puppy as well and the exact same thing is happening to himIt is my opinion that Adam *** dba Tailwind Retrievers is a scamPlease advise.I called the police department and they went to the address and said there was NO sign of dogs or KennelsI know I wont get my deposit back it is my hope to keep him from doing this to othersUnfortunately because it is out of state it would cost more than the $deposit to pursue a lawsuit

The Contract is very clearThere is no refund if the buyer decides to not purchase a puppy from Tailwind Retrievers, once they provide a depositThey will forfeit their deposit as the contract states if they are at faultIt is very clear and spelled out to a TI have several text messages
from *** and Proof that He received this email with the contractEvery Potential Owner is required to sign the contract to protect themselves and their depositsI am sorry that he became impatient, But my contracts are clear and the same for everyone

[redacted] was on a wait list for a puppy he was sent the email that had his contract in it. It had very clear instructions to sign a copy and send me a copy back. We had discussed this via the phone, text message and email. He was very clear on what he needed to do. He in fact asked me for a receipt for the deposit. The way I give a receipt is by a signed copy of the contract as it clearly states the deposit and money owed and when by. So on to the litter. My bh whelped. Somehow some of the pups contracted provo. I offered all of clients at the time either to pay(at my cost) to get there pup well which went into the thousands per pup or they could wait and take a pup from the next litter which was a more expensive breeding at no cost increase to them. So I feel I went above and beyond my duty as a good breeder. [redacted] decided to to wait and get a pup from the next litter. So 2 days go by I since agreed with him. Then I get a phone a call and a text message of him threatening to sue me for not calling back and not returning his deposit. I saved all of his messages still have them if you want them. So I text him back that he decided to wait for the next litter and I had to bump people off this upcoming litter to make up for what happened to the previous one. I told I don't take kindly to threats and that if he needs an attorney than I will be happy to give him my attorney's info. He apologized almost right away and said he was having a bad day. He later said he went and bought another pup because he couldn't wait. He admitted it was a stupid move and that he probably wouldn't get his deposit back. This is the true story behind [redacted].    Sorry, but I am done with his childish behavior. He is a grown adult and has made his bed and now he can sleep in it.     Respectfully,   Adam Cs
