Take 5 Oil Change Reviews (1)

On December 11,2013 at 3:38 I received a oil change from this location. The technicians were friendly and the process was about 20 minutes. I left the location and within minutes my oil light came on I made a phone call to my father he said they probably forgot to cut off a sensor and it was no big deal. I then continued to my engagement at Crabtree with plans of going to Take 5 December 12th to have light cut off. I was leaving Crabtree and noticed my car smelled like oil this startled me to so I went to [redacted] Auto at Crabtree to have them wipe off any spilled oil and cut off my light. The manager at [redacted] pulled out dipstick and it was overfilled according to invoice this as stated "12/11/13 6:13 pm Car came in with oil light on, checked dipstick car was overfilled with oil, when we raised car we noticed oil leaking from oil pressure switch" My $32.01 oil change from Take 5 turned into an additional $95.11 to repair. [redacted] also stated my car would have caught on fire if I kept driving. Bottom line is I called store and the assistant manager is apparently the one who did the oil change he was very defensive and harsh on the phone once he watched the cameras and saw he did the change. Too uncomfortable to call back I waited a few days and called [redacted] the regional manager never in my life have I been more disrespected by a man! He accused me of knowing someone that added oil, he told me the overfill of oil was an "opinion" I also asked for a copy of the camera footage and he said "of course not." Not once was an apology offered I also asked if they wanted the [redacted] invoice brought up there by my father so they could take it seriously and [redacted] said "are you threatening me that sounds like a threat" I asked how is that a threat he said that was like threatening to send him to his house! Absolutely ridiculous and immature. The mileage on my my Chevrolet Aveo at Take Five was 47,233 and [redacted] Auto 47,246. Barely 13 miles!Product_Or_Service: Oil Change Desired SettlementI would like my $32.01 refunded from Take Five and reimbursement of $95.11 from [redacted] Auto due to their damage. Business Response /[redacted]/Ms. [redacted] called the shop 4 days after we serviced her vehicle. We got the pertinent information and said we would call back. We conducted an investigation which included archiving video footage of the service. In the video, it is plainly obvious that we added 4 quarts of oil, not 10 as she believes. The container we used to add oil is transparent for this purpose and clearly shows 4 quarts were added. In addition, we can be seen showing her the dipstick and the correct oil level after the service. We put the right amount of oil in her vehicle and she agreed. When we called her back, she became verbally abusive to the assistant manager and she hung up, saying she was getting an attorney.Three weeks later, she called my office with the same complaint. Before I could even ask her why she waited three weeks to call me, she became verbally abusive. I asked her to wait while I viewed the video again, and she asked "Why, when it is 'obvious' you did something wrong?". I called her back after viewing the video and shared with her my findings, that she had seen how much oil we put in her car and that what happened after we serviced her vehicle was out of our control. She then threatened to send her "father" over to my office to "talk" to me. I told her that he and she could view the video at their convenience to settle in their minds that we put the right amount of oil in her vehicle. She asked if she could have a copy, and I told her "No, but you are free to come view the video at your convenience". She started screaming obscenities and I had to hang up.A few questions remain, but the answers are not needed to determine if we put the correct amount of oil in her vehicle.1. If her oil light came on as she left our shop, why did she not immediately turn around, as is stated on the bottom of the invoice in the warranty section, and give us the opportunity to view the situation?2. She claims to have the vehicle "fixed" by [redacted] less than 3 hours after service by us, but she waited to call the shop for 4 days.3. Crabtree Mall is 3 miles from the shop. She claims to have driven 13 miles. Where did she go?I don't need those answers to decide that we put the correct amount of oil in her vehicle. Her father is still welcome to come view the video at his convenience, however, she is asked to never return to any of our properties.
