Our technician gave the customer options regarding the types of furnaces available to them based on their needs and quoted our standard price to install this model furnace The customer signed an agreement for the stated price and was not asked to pay any more than the agreed-upon price We arranged for the furnace to be installed the next morning, on a Saturday, and did not charge overtime or weekend rates to do so We feel that we were more than fair with the customer, but still agreed to work with the customer to resolve their concern We do feel, however, that the customer was wrong and acted in an unfair manner in this matter

I do believe we did a proper tune up on this furnace. We do not pull the blower motor out completely, so the dryer sheet was definitely an oversight on our part. Recommendations for parts that may fail in the future were, dirty blower wheel will cause motor bearings to go bad, motor
wheel and capacitor need to be replaced, inducer bearing going bad and hot surface igniter going bad. Do to the age of 20years on the unit and the parts we saw that will need to be replaced in the future, our tech gave the recommendation to replace the unit. No formal pricing was given on the new unit. I don't feel we did anything wrong but do to the oversight I will return half of the tune up price of $52, unless the customer would like us to come back out at no other charge to rectify this situation. Please advice on what we should do. Thank you
