Review: On October*, 2014, I retained Takia Construction Co. to furnish and installation of 2 windows on the attic of my home at [redacted]. I spoke to the manage of Takia construction and he charged me $700.00 to furnish and install the two attic windows. I was told by the manager of Takia construction [redacted], that he would require a down payment of $400.00 to order the windows. A money order was made out for the amount of $400.00 payable to TAKIA Construction CO. [redacted] came to my address and picked up the money order on October * with the promise that he would purchase the windows and install them within three weeks. It is now November ** and [redacted] has failed to purchase or install the attic windows. I called his company on [redacted] November [redacted] and [redacted] informed me that he would come to my home the next day to refund my money. He never called or showed up. My niece [redacted] phoned him and he informed her that he would refund my money on the evening of [redacted] November**; he called that same day to say that it's a holiday [redacted] and he would come to my home and refund my money on [redacted]. I sat home all day [redacted] and [redacted] was a no show. On the morning of [redacted] November[redacted] phoned me to tell me that he is on his way to the bank to get the $400.00 and from there he would come directly to my home to return my money. I again sat home all day and [redacted] did not come by my home and neither did he call. My niece and I have made several attempts to call the company and they continually slam the phone in our earsDesired Settlement: I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and I would like to have my money returned to me in cash payment of $400.00
