March 29,2017Dear [redacted] ;As a healthcare provider working here in Montgomery County, Maryland, we at Takoma Dental Clinic make every effort to provide our patients with the best possible careWe also promise to work with their insurance company to the best of our ability (providing that we are in network with them)The insurance plan that our patient which submitted the complaint ID [redacted] has is an HMO medical plan ( [redacted] ), a plan in which this office does not participateWe make every effort to thoroughly investigate the types of insurance plans patients have prior to making an appointment with this officeWe also try to make patients understand that insurances don’t always do as they say they will do, i.e., pay everything, and therefore the patient is responsible for any remaining feesBefore the patient is even brought to the back for treatment, the patient is given paperwork to sign, paperwork that states the policies of the officeOne of our policies states that payments, co-payments, and/or deductibles are required to be paid in full at the time of servicesAny differences will be credited or billed after insurance payment has been received.When we sent the dental claim into our patient PPO plan ( [redacted] ), this office received an EOB that denied payment for the claim; consequently we sent a bill to this patentPrior to this office receiving her complaint for the Revdex.com, the patient, along with her secondary dental insurance ( [redacted] Dental Insurance) and this dental office, spoke on a 3-Way telephone call [redacted] advised this office that once we receive a response from [redacted] , to send the EOB to them ( [redacted] ), and they will see what of the dental bill that they will payAnything else that remains, the patient will be responsible to payAt this point in time March 29,2017, we are still waiting to hear from [redacted] HMO.If you need to speak with us any further on this matter, please feel free to contact us at the telephone number aboveAsk to speak with Maria A [redacted] ,Sincerely,Cecilia W., DDSChief Dentist,
