We as stated earlier did offer a reschedule which is above and beyond our policy and the month of Sept is still available All rental companys use the same language and as soon is a card is run the boat is secured for that party and any calls for that unit would be turned awayWhat is a deposit for other than to secure a product or service , our policy stands

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.The website utilization as referenced by the business was only used to obtain contact info and picture of boat modelNo details of policies or disclosures were reviewedThe phone call when deposit was charged informed me that the contract would be sent and their policy said they needed to be receive this signed document and payment and full within thirty days of departure, but in this case since I called so close they wanted the contract as soon as I could get it doneOffering to reschedule is not acceptable as this season would mean I essentially have the month of October as an optionThe main point of this discussion is that I did not even make the reservation within days! I was not informed of this on the phone; I was not told that by making this reservation there would be no option for any cancellation due to the time factorMy request has simply been to have a compromise or negotiation for this refund matter

What is a deposit for other than to secure a product or service , our policy stands..

Mr. [redacted] had called 8/17/2015 to book the Wanderer boat and give the five-hundred dollar damage deposit required from all customers. A rental contract for this boat was also sent via e-mail the same day. On 8/19/2015, Mr. [redacted] had sent an e-mail stating that he needed to have spinal surgery and...

that he needed to cancel his reservation. The cancellation policy on the our website (where Mr. [redacted] originally contacted us) and the contract that was sent the day the deposit was charged, clearly states that cancellation under 45 days prior to departure is subject to forfiture of the deposit, there are no refunds. On 8/26/2015 we did offer to re-schedule Mr. [redacted]'s reservation at any time during this season.
