To Whom It May Concern,My apologies for the delay in getting back to you all, we have been very busy!In regards to the complaint by the [redacted] , we are aware of this ongoing issueThe following is "our side" of the story:When setting up the job and doing a walk-through with Ms [redacted] , I was very adamant that we need to know where the septic system was so as to avoid damageThe customer was unable to provide us with accurate information as to where the septic tank was locatedHowever, they did tell us that it was off the back corner of the house, as such we moved the fence to come off the front corner per the request of the customerAgain, this was all at the customers directionUpon striking the septic system, it actually ended up in the corner of one of the fence post holesMy installer thought it was a rock, and so he attempted to remove itYou can imagine that we run into a lot of stuff in the ground that required brute force to get out of the way in order to get a proper footing depth for the job to be done rightSubsequently, we ended up putting a puncture in the tank (not a large hole at all.) We immediately communicated the issue with the customer and attempted to come to a resolutionBefore we were able to make a full assessment, they contracted a company to replace the whole tankI am still not convinced that was entirely necessaryAs for the comments made that I yelled at the customer, that is entirely untrueI always maintain my composure and try to work with my customers to come up with a resolution the problem at handHaving said all of this, I do not feel that we should be held liable reimbursement of the homeowner's security deposit of $1, However, in the interest of trying to come to a resolution that is appeasable to both ends, I would be willing to pay $Please relay this information to the necessary parties and respond to me with any feedback from the customer.Best Regards, [redacted] ***Owner / Managing Member [redacted]

To Whom It May Concern,My apologies for the delay in getting back to you all, we have been very busy!In regards to the complaint by the [redacted], we are aware of this ongoing issue. The following is "our side" of the story:When setting up the job and doing a walk-through with Ms. [redacted], I was...

very adamant that we need to know where the septic system was so as to avoid damage. The customer was unable to provide us with accurate information as to where the septic tank was located. However, they did tell us that it was off the back corner of the house, as such we moved the fence to come off the front corner per the request of the customer. Again, this was all at the customers direction. Upon striking the septic system, it actually ended up in the corner of one of the fence post holes. My installer thought it was a rock, and so he attempted to remove it. You can imagine that we run into a lot of stuff in the ground that required brute force to get out of the way in order to get a proper footing depth for the job to be done right. Subsequently, we ended up putting a puncture in the tank (not a large hole at all.) We immediately communicated the issue with the customer and attempted to come to a resolution. I always maintain my composure and try to work with my customers to come up with a resolution the problem at hand. Having said all of this, I do not feel that we should be held liable reimbursement of the homeowner's security deposit of $1,000.00.  However, in the interest of trying to come to a resolution that is appeasable to both ends, I would be willing to pay $500.00 Please relay this information to the necessary parties and respond to me with any feedback from the customer.Best Regards,[redacted]Owner / Managing Member[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I am accepting the response, not because I feel it is right or fair, but because I am clear from Mr. [redacted] response that he is not going to accept full responsibility in this matter. Mr [redacted] was adamant about nothing other than not wanting to pay for the damage his installer had caused. I have many witnesses that can attest to the number of times I discussed concern over the septic tank and his rather casual attitude about it. I will accept his proposal of $500 compensation, but I stand by every word I said in the original complaint.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
