Tam Moving Reviews (1)

Review: 1. This moving business is a con and scam. A Vietnamese guy whom speaks English on the phone says he's the owner and when you say you want a contract and receipt for the moving service he says "sure, no problem" (all lies). If you give notice to cancel or reschedule at least 1 day prior, you're told it's too bad and too late, so they force themselves on you. Then so-called movers show up and start grabbing your stuff and won't listen to you, breaking and manhandling your items and removing some things you didn't want moved at all and telling you to let them do it their way.2. Business takes your belongings out but not into moving truck to accumulate more time to get more $$$ charged to you, and puts you at their mercy, because if you can't get your things back to where they started from by yourself, then you're stuck with them. They say they'll leave but you still have to pay them even when they didn't put 1 single item in their moving truck and were standing around talking or breaking your things or putting your things outside for anybody to take. THEY ALSO DEMAND CASH PAYMENT BEFORE UNLOADING truck if they had placed any belonging in it. Its extortion.Plus they steal from you. I had a totebag that had a document in it with my name, driver's license info and other ID stuff. It was in their moving truck and when I asked for it back when I thought they were done, they wouldn't give it back; they kept it.3. A mover ID self as [redacted] ID the very bad mover guy as [redacted] from NY. [redacted] wouldn't listen to me. I said to not take certain things he still took; I said use a dolly to move things; he wouldn't. I asked cover with blanket to protect; he wouldn't. He grabbed whatever he wanted, and he broke almost every single piece of furniture I had in storage. When I told him he had broken things, he told me it was junk anyways. He broke a leg off a wood file cabinet; he broke the rolling wheel off a piece of furniture, I saw broken, torn wood hanging on a tall wood cabinet, he cracked the glass on a display case; he put gouges, dents and scratches on every thing he touched. He would just pick things up with his arms and drag the furniture item away. 4. The movers didn't even put anything into their moving truck until 2 hours later. They had my belongings out of my storage unit blocking the building's entry/exit area, the elevator, the stairs, other storage units and the bldg. door. It was like I was forced to let them do whatever as I was at their mercy. I am disabled and couldn't move everything back into my unit by myself and I couldn't get another moving company there in time. I wanted to call the Anaheim Police but I had had very bad experiences in May & June 2015 with the PD when I reported my storage unit burglarized and things stolen 3 xs in less than 1 month and it took police over 1 hour to get there and they didn't want to take a burglary/theft report.5. The movers gave me no contract and no receipt and DEMANDED CASH PAYMENT ONLY. They took several breaks and talked on the phone 15 minutes or more at a time and charged me for it as being part of their minimum 2 hr $55 hr rate. After 2 hours went by, these 2 movers finally started moving my things into their moving truck and telling me I would have to pay 3 hours at least. Before they would unload my belongings from the moving truck, the guy [redacted] said I had to pay them for 3 1/2 hours. Then after paying, this [redacted] guy left 1 of my furniture in the road/drive area and was going to leave it there. I had to beg and beg for a dolly so I could get the item into my storage unit. 6. The ADS this moving business website uses is a CON and SCAM. I called owner afterwards 2xs asking for a receipt. On 6/27/2015 the owner ID self as Tam [redacted] on the phone and said too bad, he wasn't going to give me a receipt, said he didn't care if I report him to the police or to IRS and said the law protects him, not me.7. This business is listed under Orange County, CA Clerk Recorder's Office, fictitious name owned by Tam N[redacted] & [redacted], 16215 Sierra St., Fountain Valley, CA 92708Desired Settlement: 1. I was forced to pay owner CASH through his employee [redacted] (mover) on 6/23/2015. He claimed my cost was for a little over 3 1/2 hours ($55 an hour rate). I paid $ 200. I want a receipt for payment.2. I want receipt mailed to me at: [redacted] P.O. Box [redacted], CA [redacted]. I want repairs or $$$ reimbursement for my damaged furniture. I have before and after furniture pictures. I took pictures prior due to burglaries.
