T&R Nati Construction presented an estimate for roughed-in bathroom plumbing as requested by Mr. D[redacted]. The scope of the work consisted of the installation of supply lines and drain pipes for sink, toilet and bath/shower fixtures where not include that Mr. D[redacted] would be handling...
separately. We were directed to apply with all necessary permits with the City of [redacted] Park. On October 13, 2016, T&R Nati filed the necessary application and submitted the $225 fee (see check 99 attached). In addition, a plumbing permit application and $1,200 fee payment was made by T&R Nati through its plumbing subcontractor (vision plumbing.. Mr. D[redacted] paid us the $1,425 for these permits. Soon after, Mr. D[redacted] advised us that he had changed his mind and wanted T&R Nati to also install the toilet, sink and shower as well as complete all bathroom finishing work including walls, flooring and lighting fixtures. However, when we advised Mr. D[redacted] that this change in scope of the project would require a change order to reflect the considerable amount of additional work, fixtures and materials, he insisted that he expected all of the finished bathroom costs (estimated to be ($8,000) to be included in the original ($3,000) estimate for roughed-in plumbing. Obviously, we or any company could not agree to such a ridiculous request. And since we could not come to any practical agreement to these new demands, Mr. D[redacted] did not authorize us to go forward with the roughed-in plumbing as was the original scope of the work. Mr. D[redacted] understood that the cancellation of the work would not negate the permits already made. I don’t know how Mr. D[redacted] came up with a figure of $1,650 unless he is counting the $225 city fee twice. thank you..
