Thank you for letting us know about this customer's concerns After conducting an internal review of the case, we discovered that this cancellation was indeed received in a timely fashion, and that the billing that took place on his account was in error - which means that a refund is certainly owed to him However, the contract also stipulates that the cost of any services that were used on the contract will be deducted from any refund that is issued This guest tanned once on his platinum membership (total cost $25.30), so we are today mailing him a refund check for the full amount that he was charged ($203.17), less the cost of the service that he used ($25.30), for a net refund of $ We have issued this refund today and have mailed it to his address on record We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for bringing this matter to our attention Yours in business, Tan Republic - Hollywood

I purchased a tanning package at Tan Republic on SE 82nd and Johnson Creek on 7/26/My credit card was charged $94.27, and I was told and read on the contract that I could change my mind, and had days to cancel and get my money backI cancelled my contract by the method outlined in paragraph of the contractThere is a day window to cancel, which I did per the contractI sent a certified letter to Po box address on the contract on July 29th, Tan Republic waited until 8/12/to pick up their mail at the Post office, but did receive and sign for my letterOn 8/26/TR charged my credit card $I have called the store where I bought the tans, and they said 'ZACH' in customer relations is the only person that could correct thisI have left several voicemails, and sent several emails to him, with absolutely no contact from himAs of today, 8/31/I have not received a credit for the any of the $I am owedMy credit card company is investigating this now

The last days I have been there it has been closed during business hours I’ve called I sent complaint emails asking for a refund, they answered me on the face book message saying “Hollywood” is not closing But offering no apology, explanation or refundI still have over a hundred dollars of unused tans on my account When it is open the beds have not been cleaned and clean towels are not available Customer service when it’s open is very sketchy I’ve had employees ask me for a job, ask me other uncomfortable personal information and try to sell me outside unrelated products I’ve included this info in emails to management which have gone unanswered

On 3/2/I paid a buyout fee to end my contract earlyApril went by with no issues but on 5/8/two unauthorized charges were taken out of my bank accountOne for $and the other for I noticed this and called the next day to let them k ow these charges were in error and to refund and remove my card info from their systemI was told by the store associate that they could not do either and they would contact their guest relations person I order to have this taken care ofAfter business days of not seeing the charges reversed or hearing from the guest relations manager I followed up and requested his contact info myselfIt's now 6/3/and I have left messages with the manager and about messages with the store associates and have not received any contact or answers from anyoneThis is completely unacceptable as these unauthorized charges are fraudulent and the fact that this business is so disrespectful and playing an avoidance game is angeringI want/need my

I contacted the corporate email I was given to cancel my accountThis was at the end of FebruaryI cancelled my membership due to an outrages monthly cost as well as not being able to use over half the beds at any given time, sunless tanning was always broken and extremely poor customer serviceI did not receive a follow up notification after I had cancelled and had tried several times to go to the Hollywood location only to find it closed during business hoursThey do not respond to callsThey proceeded to withdraw $from my account as of 3/I argue this fraudulent charge

certainly owed to him.  However, the contract also stipulates that the cost of any services that were used on the contract will be deducted from any refund that is issued.  This guest tanned once on his platinum membership (total cost $25.30), so we are today mailing him a refund check for the full amount that he was charged ($203.17), less the cost of the service that he used ($25.30), for a net refund of $177.87.
We have issued this refund today and have mailed it to his address on record.  We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Tan Rebublic knew of their mistake, because I sent emails and called the company numerous times over the past few weeks. I was completely ignored, even though they knew they'd broken their own contract. Only when Revdex.com got involved, did TR respond in any way. They purposely and illegally withheld my refund, and even now will charge me for one tan. Of course per the contract they CAN, but this shows they have zero regard for their customers, and for their own reputation. I shouldn't have needed to spend hours going after Tan Republic,  and have money taken from my account unexpectedly because they are dishonest scam artists. Sincerely, [redacted]
