asked if they would pay the CA sales tax When this customer finally replied to our emails on 2/24, he stated that he wanted us to absorb the tax or refund his money We tried to refund the money immediately using our merchant processing, but since it was an online order we could not do it in the system We then told the customer that we would have to send a check and it would take a couple of weeks and thanked him for his patience His refund check is scheduled in our check run on 3/20, and should go out that day.This was an unfortunate situation, but we are doing our best to resolve it Obviously we would hope that he would either call or email us if he had any concerns, as we were never unresponsive to him

Review: I believe Tandem solar business practices looked creepy, deceptive. I placed an order for solar micro inverters online (on their site [redacted]), by paying full amount with a credit card on 2/14. Later I got an email from the company representative saying due to a glitch on their site they didn't collect tax and he wanted me pay that amount before the order is shipped. In fact, when I placed the order online, I thought it was all inclusive price except shipping (they showed shipping separately from item/order total) and I paid that all on 2/14. After I got that email knowing I may have right to ask to fulfill the order as per the original transaction that took place online, I gave him an opportunity to cancel and refund the full amount (as I mentioned him I was not prepared to pay for any hidden or after-the-fact charges like this). For this, he, instead of acting with good intentions to try to initiate the refund at the earliest possible time, looked acting with bad intentions (or with emotions) and trying deliberately to delay the refund process (I've evidence of this in the email conversations I've with him). Tandem Solar System business practices looks very creepy, deceptive! Till today (3/6), neither the refund was initiated nor my order was processed.His recent most reply to me went like below (when asked wondering why would it take couple of weeks to initiate a refund):"I have more pressing things to do than to cater to someone who treated me the way you did. ......... So, I will process your refund when I get around to it. I am busy working with many customers who appreciate what I do for them."Desired Settlement: I think it's fair to expect the below as a resolution for this:Either try to abide by the original online transaction and fulfill the order, or I get my full amount with applicable/reasonable interest on it starting 2/14 till I get the refund back into my account.Supporting Documents: Tandem Solar's invoice# [redacted] on 2/14/2015 for amount $1051.28
