The tank had a cut in it. It appears as though someone on manufacturing took a sawzall to it. It could also have been caused by poor lashing during shipment, I suppose. In either case, IT IS NOT MY FAULT. And, none of this would have been an issue if they had properly scheduled delivery instead of just showing up whenever the heck they wanted!
The good Samaritan did not know it needed to be inspected. I would have been there to do it if they had properly scheduled.
I couldn't get to the site to inspect it for quite a while. Once I did, I noticed the cut and informed the seller immediately. He decided to pursue the manufacturer. When the manufacturer declined to be involved the seller simply decided all of this is my fault because it took me a while to inspect the tank, and that somehow the damage occured while it was in my care.
Note: I have NO MOTIVE to damage an expensive tank I need to be in working condition.
I had the tank trucked to a repair shop, and it returned with a patch. I informed the seller I would send him the receipts for reimbursement, and he became offended at this and said he would not pay. smh.
My opinion: He wants to maintain the simple life of a drop-shipper and not deal with any real-life issues that can happen. Completely lacking in customer empathy or business ethics. Not even a thank you for the good Samaritan to accept the delivery instead of rejecting it and running up the seller's costs for a second delivery.
A 'Tard by any other name is still a 'tard.
Avoid this company. Buy from a reputable supplier that actually stocks product.
I do not recommend using them.
Sir, First off, I would like to thank you for your feedback We appreciate any and all feedback (both positive and negative) We apologize for the problems you ran into with the Freight Carrier (***) in this case While the first part of your complaint largely deals with
the freight company, I want to inform your that we are not *** We do not control the carriers that deliver our products We simply provide them with the pickup location and the destination Any problems you may incur with the freight carrier should be taken up with ***, not TankAndBarrel.com Therefore, in respect to your first complaint, while we are sorry you had these headaches, this is completely out of our control We recommend you contact *** directly or via their respective Revdex.com account. In regards to your second complaint, about TankAndBarrel.com charging you "Liftgate" fees, please allow me to explain the history of events. 1) We were notified on 1/31/that "Liftgate" services were used when we were billed for the shipment Per our terms and conditions that you had to agree to in order to checkout, any additional services that you requested at the time of delivery would be charged for.2) On 1/31/we charged your credit card for this additional fee of $88.243) On 2/2/at 11:46AM CST you called us notifying us that you did NOT use liftgate services and that this was an incorrect charge.4) That same day, less than hours later at 2:PM, we immediately REFUNDED you the $that you were incorrectly charged for 5) We then sent you a follow up email only minutes later at 2:17PM apologizing for the mistake and letting you know you should received a refund We apologize, we should of called you as well, but if you check your email you should see this refund message at 2:17PM on 2/2/2017, only hours after you requested a refund.Because of the above records (which we can provide as well), we feel we addressed your concern very rapidly (within hours) We have refunded you in full and were a little shocked we received this Revdex.com complaint as we feel we addressed and corrected the problem as quickly as we possibly could.Again, we apologize for the problems you had with ***, but as for the problem you had with us, we see no need for this Revdex.com complaint as we immediately addressed and corrected your issue.Thank you very much for letting us know about this and we sincerely hope this has clarified the issue and corrected the problem.SincerelyTankAndBarrel.com
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is pretty much satisfactory to me.However, I would like to add some corrections to your statement:I realize you are not [redacted] (seperate complaint filed). You do business with them. Take a look at their online complaints. They are incompetent and don't give a damn about customers. You can choose who you do business with.I agreed to pay for lift gate if it was used (because you gave me no other choice). I specifically chose "no lift gate". It seems like a convenient way for someone to make a few extra bucks. Just quietly charge the customer weeks down the road... great idea!In your reply to my complaint, you forgot to mention the part where the woman on the phone said she had to speak with her boss and then she'd call me right back. I waited all day for that call before I complained to Revdex.com in the evening. In other words, if you had called me back (like you said you were going to do), there would have been no Revdex.com complaint. I recieved no email (perhaps it was kicked off??), and didn't see any hint of a refund in my account until today (02/06). Again, returning my call would have led to no Revdex.com complaint.
