Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 11, 2016/09/01) */ Contact Name and Title: [redacted] Owner Contact Phone: XXXXXXXXXX Contact Email: [redacted] @gmail.com To whom this may concern, We have received notice of a complaint originated by [redacted] ***The ***'s had been referred to us by one of his coworkers; who, coincidentally was very pleased with the work we had done for themOn July 30, Mrand Mrs [redacted] and I discussed the work they needed done to their drivewayWe serviced their driveway the next day, after express permission was given and the terms of said services were outlined specifically in the contract that Mr [redacted] signed on July 31, They were given their copy and the work was completed and payment issued in the form of a checkBefore and after pictures were also documentedWe asked that they examine the driveway and acknowledge it was to their satisfactionMr [redacted] said that he was happy with the work Later that day I received a phone call from Mr ***He said that he needed us to come back out to resolve an issue along their retaining wallWe came right back to the job site and fixed what he neededMr [redacted] again acknowledged that he was satisfied with this adjustment A little over a week went by and we heard from him againNow, Mr [redacted] was calling us back for the same issueWe spoke on Wednesday, August 10, He wanted more sealing product to be added on top of the same area, which he had agreed had already been done to his satisfactionHe was then informed that we would have to charge him more money to come back to his home, as everything was fine when we left on July 31stMr***, refused to pay the necessary charge and then he and his wife proceeded to slander my business on social mediaBeing that they were stooping to low tactics and slandering my business after I had completed the work to their satisfaction twiceWe cut off any contact with themUnfortunately, we will not be refunding any of the payment for the work they agreed toIt is unfortunate that this situation has escalated to this levelHowever, as we have stated previously they signed a contract of which they were given their own copy; before and after pictures were documented and we went above and beyond to guarantee that they were satisfiedThey were promised a sealcoating of their existing driveway, as isWe appreciate the opportunity to explain the circumstances of this situationThank you for your time Sincerely, Louie's Sealcoating Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 13, 2016/09/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I sent Louie a text message the Monday after the job was completeStating that the extra coating the he applied is chipping awayI even sent him a photo of the issueIn the message I stated that I will be calling him the next day to talk about my concernsI called him on my lunch break the following day and he agreed to come out with a tube of some Product and see if that will workI said great let's give it a tryI explained to him that will not be available till the following Monday or TuesdayHe said we can set up something thenI said okAt no point in time in this third phone call did he state that there is an extra charge to fix a job that was hours oldI called him that following week and that is when he turned it in to me having to pay Yes I did sign off on it looking good but it will always look good while wet and still needing to dry He started off a very nice guy, but when that check cleared he became someone else As for the social media I did rate him on his Facebook pageI also asked that he deletes the photos of my house since I did not give him permission to useThose comments on the photos have been removed by Louie I am embarrassed that I had my son's 8th birthday party here last Sunday and had to explain why my driveway lolled the way it did to people If I have a two to three warranty (as stated on contract that I signed and he hand wrote) who is my warranty through?
