Registry. We have absolutely no control on when the Registry sets up these appointments or sends a Registry person to administer the test. We only request that they come to our school and all requests must be sent in our Sunday nights forSaturday appointments. Because of a shortage of Registry personnel and numerous requests by all the driving schools a lot of our tests are canceled and reset up by the Registry on short notice. Since January 1st of 2015 we have requested a test every Saturday. We have been canceled by the Registry almost every Saturday except for a handful of days. We have been fortunate to be giving make up days for these cancellations with appointments during the week days. These days are not the best for our students as some are during school hours or after school when students have after school activities. We are giving 2 days to get a hold of all students to reschedule these appointments. We must give the Registry a list of students who can not do the make up time on short notice or those students will be charged $35 by the Registry. If a student does not return our phone calls then we automatically cancel that appointment and rescheduled for the following Saturday. Otherwise the student will be charged for not showing up. Unfortunately, Mr [redacted]'s daughter was a student that had been canceled numerous times and we had a communication problem with her. This is totally out of our control except for the communication part which we have worked out as this problem was never a problem until recently. We were dealing with close to 100 students who were having the same cancellation problems but most were worked out satisfactory. I must again state that we set up the appointments but we have no control over them. The Registry sends a Registry person to administer the tests and they tell us when they are coming. The notice is short and we have no say. It is take it or leave it. We send in the list of students and the Registry sends us back when the tests are and which students can take the test. end of story. This is relatively new as of January of 2015, before that we had no problems having Saturday appointments. Our office has had to adjust to this change and I feel we have corrected most of the problems that have occurred.
