As per my conversation with the insured, February 10, 2016, I explained Tanner Insurance Agency is merely a broker to the company which provided his flood insurance coverageWe placed the coverage through *** *** *** ** ** ***., which of course must comply with the National Flood
Insurance Program (NFIP)The policy was written and all premium paid by insured for went directly to *** *** *** ** ** ***.Our agency sent a Cancelation Request on 1/8/after being notified by the Insured of selling their house, and they returned the signed form, (please see attached).Our agency was notified on 01/29/by *** *** they "required documentation to support the reason" to process the cancellationWe have never been required to provide this proof before to cancel a policy, but the company quoted NFIP Flood Manual and would not cancel until they receive documentation, (please see attached).The Tanner Insurance Customer Service Representative (CSR) who was trying to rectify the issue found a website online (a site called "zestimate") showing the property as a sold propertyUnfortunately, the insurance company did not find that sufficient and still refused to cancel the policyThe CSR at that point sent a letter to the insureds requesting the information on February 9, 2016, please see attached.I explained to the insured that they need to please furnish the proof required by the NFIP so that they will process his cancellation and return his refundHe indicated that he had spoken directly with *** *** who had indicated the same requirementsThe insured needs to understand that the company will not defy the NFIP rules, and that Tanner Insurance Agency legally cannot refund his premium as it is "Rebating" and against the lawWe will be happy to forward the requested information and resolve this situation as soon as possibleAs of 02/23/2016, the insured has not supplied the information required to cancel this policy to our officeI do not know if he sent it directly to thecompany.If you need any more information, please feel free to contact me at *** ***or by email *** Thank You

We have requested several times for Mr *** to send us, Tanner Insurance Agency, the information so we can forward to *** ***. We cannot assist in resolving this matter unless the insured works with us and provides the information. never informed me that [redacted] needed documentation of the sale until February 11. 2016.  At that time I sent the documentation to [redacted] and still have not heard anything from them either.  I originally purchased the insurance from Tanner Insurance Agency and they never notified me of the documentation requirement until  I contacted [redacted] myself.   Since February 11. 2016 when I sent the documentation of the sale to [redacted], I have not heard anything from them and it has now been 15 days.   Thank you in advance for any assistance you can give.[redacted]
