Mr [redacted] brought his GMC truck to Tanner Transmissions in Taylorsville, Utah stating that the rear wheels chirped when turning At this time he signed and dated a document that stated that "I hereby authorize employees or agents of Tanner Transmissions, Incto operate this vehicle where and as necessary for purposes of diagnosis, testing, repair or delivery." When shown the metal fragments in his rear differential, he authorized in writing for Tanner Transmissions, Incto remove and dismantle his differential and perform an inspection of differential parts for $in order to assess the condition and cost of repairing it After the differential was dismantled and the price was established for the proper repairs, he declined and requested that his vehicle be put back together As he'd not authorized this work with his original authorization, he was quoted $for that reassembly and he declined He then paid for the work he'd authorized and Tanner Transmissions had performed and had his vehicle towed awayTanner Transmissions, Incwill not refund the money he paid for the work we performed and he authorized

As stated on our estimate: The scheduled date is estimated based upon ideal situations The date may vary depending upon individual circumstances and the performanc of our vendors Our vendor took several days to get us the flywheel required We only charged for the work we performed and if additional work was performed by somone else, we are under no obligation to pay for it

The delay was because the customer's vehicle was obsolete and parts were hard to find He was given a $discount because of the delays even though they were no fault of Tanner Transmissions

I decline the response from Tanner Transmissions: When I originally agreed to the hours labor to figure out the cause and receive a quote from Tanner for the repair at no time did they disclose that my truck would not be returned to me in the condition that I brought it to them inThey did not disclose that it would be an additional hours labor on top of the hours to have them reassemble my truck just to receive a quote to repair my vehiclethat would be a total of hour labor ($760.00) I was baited and switched so to speak and felt that they should have gave full disclosure when I originally agreed to the hoursI would have not agreed to that! I also received verbal confirmation, from Blaine T***, when I agreed to the hours labor that my vehicle would be put back togetherHis comment was, after I asked if it included reassembly was " Of coarse it includes reassembly, we would not leave a customer vehicle in pieces"As for the transport of my vehicle: Why, after telling a customer that the rear end is in need or repair, would you drive my vehicle to another location on the opposite end of town and risk further damaging my vehicleIt should have been towed to prevent further damage while in Tanner Transmissions care! I feel like they intentionally did not disclose my vehicle would not be reassembled in order to force into paying them for the complete repairAs a consumer I have the right to receive quotes from multiple repair shops and choose the one that best fits my budgetAll I mentioned was I could not afford there price and I was not sure if I was going to keep the truck much longer anywaysAlso this all started with a FREE DIAGNOSTICSI did not authorize them to remove my differential cover plate in the first place! Again I was Baited and Switched and forced into paying themI payed the $just so I could get my vehicle out of there care and then had to pay a tow truck $for the towI would be satisfied with paying the hours labor that Jim Tanner said he had into at that point, less the tow truck expense, for a total of $that would be a refund of $plus tax
