"What I have learned through this process is that I can never have just one dog in the future.  It’s too hard when that one passes to be in limbo about when I can get another.  So I WILL be getting a second shepherd.  But I won’t be doing that until the first reaches at least young adulthood.  Since my first is a female, my second will likely be a male.  It will likely be a year or so before I am ready for a second puppy.

I’m truly sorry about any miscommunications on both ends.  What do you want to do now?  Have me contact you in a year?"

I probably have 20 to 30 people visit a month.   I don't remember everyone's name.  I remember faces when I see them a second time.  Most people need time to grieve after they loose their dog on a Friday and are not needing a puppy on Monday. I did not realize it was such an emergency.

Why would I not be angry.  I have spent a lot of time and energy with you and what a slap in the face to get an email Monday saying I lost my dog on Friday and I am buying a puppy some place else.   So I am done with this....my time is too valuable and this is a waste of my precious time.   Have fun with your new puppy.

If you are done then I expect my deposit back.  You will not have fulfilled your end of the contract if you refuse to provide a dog.   My grief is huge—please don’t minimize it.  One of the reasons I e-mailed you many times telling you the status of my dog—including the most recent e-mail that you didn’t reply to four days BEFORE she died on Friday—and asking about litters is because I knew I wouldn’t be able to go on without her.  We discussed this in person the day I came to see you and your dogs.   I can provide multiple e-mails with dates if you don’t remember these conversations.

Mail the check to....

Regardless of the reasons, in which there is fault on both ends, it is obvious that we are not a good fit.

Nope, deposits are non refundable.   Never had such a difficult person as you in 20 years of breeding.   When you ready for a puppy you can let me know.

At this point, I terminated conversations with the breeder and  contacted the Revdex.com and the Attorney general.  Buyer beware with this person.

Re:  ID: [redacted]

On October 3, 2015 [redacted] gave a $600 non refundable deposit for a future puppy.  She wanted to wait until after her current dog passed away before she brought home a new puppy.  Deposits are a commitment to get a puppy and she was informed...

that deposits are non refundable.
After her dog passed she emailed me and expected me to just snap my fingers and make a puppy available for her days after her dog died.  I find it very strange the urgency at which she expects me to produce a puppy for her out of thin air.  It was like it was an emergency.  I understand that losing a pet can be devastating and painful.  But her actions and complaints are extremely unreasonable and without merit.
She was told that I might have a puppy in the current litter and if not I had another litter coming that for sure she could get a puppy from.  She wrote in an email that she would pay someone to give up their puppy in the current litter.  I was not willing to bribe people and pay them off to move to another litter.  She refused to wait for a puppy and it was her choice to go and get a puppy somewhere else.
She was told that when she was ready for another puppy, she should let me know.  She wrote this in her email to me dated 7/26/16 "What I have learned through this process is that I can never have just one dog in the future.  It's too hard when that one passes to be in limbo about when I can get another.   So I WILL be getting a second shepherd.   But I won't be doing that until the first shepherd reaches at least young adulthood.  Since my first is a female,  my second will likely be a male.  It will likely be a year or so before I am ready for a second puppy.   I'm truly sorry about any miscommunications on both ends. What do you want to do now?  Have me contact you in a year?"  That is how we left it, that when she was ready for a second dog she would notify me.
Instead of getting a puppy from me in a year as she agreed to, she immediately started her slam and smear campaign to try to get her non refundable deposit returned.  She now spends her time filing complaints and demanding her deposit back which she knew was nonrefundable.   It was HER decision to go somewhere else.
I have spent a lot of time dealing with her nonsense and drama.  She has demonstrated her instability and I will not interact with people who are irrational, unreasonable with so many issues.  I am NOT willing to place a puppy in that kind of environment.
I am terminating placing any puppy with her, not now not in a year, not ever.  It is very clear now that this is not a suitable home and she no longer meets my standards.  I want to be done with her immediately, so I am going to break my own policy and will be returning her $600 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit via US registered mail.  I will have no further contact with her.
