I enjoyed my overall experience with Tar Heel PeriodonticsI found that Dr [redacted] was very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire processI also found the treatment coordinator to be helpful as well There were a few hiccups with the front desk but that did not take away from my overall experienceI would recommend this practice to anyone that needs implants

I have been calling to have my dental claim submitted since May 11, I have called several times and I have gotten no where I was referred to Dr [redacted] by my dentist for an implantThe implant total cost was approximately 5k out of pocketI was told that they would file my insurance after I paid for the proceduresMy initial claim was filed in Decemeber and I have since been to him or timesMy last part of the procedure was $on May 11, I was told they would file my insurance afterI called my insurance provider and no claims are on fileI have called this office numerous times to speak with [redacted] at the front desk and [redacted] the managerThey have said they would call me back to no availAdditionally,I was told the situation would be handled and that the claim would be filed which to date has yet happenI just wanted my claim filed and my little bit of reimbursement I am dueAfter all I did pay 5k out if pocketI should have to jump through hoops for t

Tar Heel Periodontics has not filed my claim with my medical insurance for surgery on 10/17/I have been trying for months
On October 17, Dr.*** ***, of Tar Heel Periodontics--***, ***, performed a Biopsy of Oral Tissue, Soft (Medical code ***) on meOn the day of service, 10/17/17, I paid with my VISA $795, the total cost of the procedure, with the understanding that Tar Heel Periodontics would file my medical claim with the appropriate insurance providerThe transaction ID for my credit card payment is ***
After the procedure and transaction, I received notice from ***, my dental insurance provider, that the claim could not be processed because it was an medical claim rather than a dental claim and that Tar Heel Periodontics needed to refile my claim with my medical insurance
On December 23, I called Tar Heel Periodontics and spoke with *** at the officeI requested that the office please file m

I was double charged for procedures that were not performed, and the office staff has stalled for nine months in my attempts to resolve this
This office performed a dental implant on me on Jan9, I was required to pay for the service in full before the procedure
It took eight months before the insurance person, ***, finally filed my claim with the correct documents This was after numerous phone calls to her and way calls with my insurance company spelling out exactly what she was to send in What she sent in had charges that I did not incur, and the insurance company denied much of the claim
Secondly, the office manager would not return phone calls and would not set up an appointment with me so I could come in and discuss my overcharges and insurance filing She hides behind the receptionists who pass on short bits of information that do not answer my questions
