Tar Star Asphalt Paving

I had asphalt! When they left I had a yard of gravel for thousands of dollars. Multiple quotes after to fix this mess. Everyone that’s come to give me a quote to fix it said I was scammed big time, I knew that when I drove up to my house. When they came out to give me a quote, I told them that my driveway was cracked-he/they said they’d repair, spray for weeds, straighten the driveway, do the walkway. It’s on “contract”, none of which was done. Kept telling me they were giving me a discount, RIGHT! NOT took my money and I got gravel that I can rake away with a shovel, or shoes, believe me I’ve tried. When I called back to complain he said that he’d given a description of what was to be done-he didn’t.(tar and chip)..he told my neighbor..hell, I didn’t know what that was if he’d told me and it is checked on the paper, but thought it was a sealer or correction for my cracks in MY ASPHALT . I never would’ve gone from asphalt to gravels that didn’t amount to thousands of dollars! Who would? I told him that afterwards and he just laughed-cause I guess I was the joke. Now I have to pay thousands more to fix their mess-when I didn’t have thousands in the 1st place, just knew the cracks would get worse. To add insult to injury-they messed up my garden hose and took my water hose sprayer!

I was concerned about some of their work on my driveway but after they come out to fix it, I have no complaints. It looks great and I get compliments on it all the time.

The owner is a total dock and liar, do not give this company your money, it may be a little cheaper but you get what you pay for. Also he’s known to hire drug dealers and drug users.and pays them under the table so no accountability is held. I will spread this awareness until this place is shut down. He also had his wife go on google reviews and wrote 5 star reviews to make their rating go up…. Scam artist.

Tommy and his crew were here on time! finished the job in a mannerly fashion and we highly recommend them .
One of the best experiences we have had with any company.

We at Tar Star Paving came out and gave Mrs.[redacted] an estimate on her driveway.She insisted on a cheaper,the cheapest option,or an inexpensive material compared to hot mix asphalt so Tar Star paving measured up the driveway and gave her a quote of $[redacted].00 to pave a section of her driveway with a...

cheaper material solution of recycled asphalt.She then said she wanted to go ahead and have work performed on her driveway with the recycled asphalt material so beforehand we thoroughly explained the specific material and the disadvantages of having the material,one of which would be a light presence of loose stones which might track until the material cures and the fact that once the material cures that the loose material can then be removed with a blower and thereafter we composed and made a signed contractual agreement with Mrs.[redacted] and scheduled a date to begin work on the driveway.Within a brief period of time after the completion of the work,only a few months later,Mrs.[redacted] called and made a verbal complaint to us at Tar Star about loose stone.Upon complaint we returned a call to Mrs.[redacted],scheduled an appointment to address the complaint at her nearest convenience to inspect the validity of the complaint and then promptly responded by physically appearing at the location of the prior completed work that was complained upon and performed a visual inspection of the prior completed work and properly assessed the condition of the materials used.Upon this visual inspection we found and determined the condition of the material to be normal and within the state of the curing process in which we had before the original contractual agreement thoroughly explained to Mrs.[redacted] would contain loose stone that could track.While at the [redacted] residence on the date that we inspected the validity of the complaint and beyond determining that the state of the material and the work completed was not abnormal and was in fact within the acceptable range and state of the curing process that we had prior to contractual agreement clearly explained would involve loose stone and tracking,we went beyond our means and generously offered to and also applied a second full coating of the entire driveway with a prior used hardening agent detergent in which ensures proper curing and hardening of recycled asphalt material in a timely manner.In the case of Mrs.[redacted],the driveway at her residence,Tar Star Paving and the recycled asphalt material in which was lain by us on the driveway of the [redacted] residence,we at Tar Star Paving feel satisfactorily that we did thoroughly well explain what the product of recycled asphalt material was,the entirety of the curing process,the exact elapsed time period of the curing process,all of the downsides of a recycled asphalt material compared to a hot mix asphalt,the reasons for the difference in price compared to a hot mix asphalt and that it is not by far equivalent to a hot mix asphalt and hot mix asphalts very short but basically instant curing process and we at Tar Star Paving do feel comfortable in saying that we have in fact went above and beyond our means in order to ensure the satisfaction of Mrs.[redacted]/The [redacted]s as far as customer satisfaction and the quality of the work completed,the materials used and that Mrs.[redacted]/The [redacted]s do not have a or any valid complaint/s and that there is no true or existing issue/s to be solved at all,                                                Sincerely,     Daniel S[redacted].  Tar Star Paving
