Business Response to a Complaint Complaint ID#: Company Name: Tara Apartments Company Contact: Marlayna Company Phone: [redacted] Company Email: [email protected] Person Who Sent the Complaint: Joanne Bailey Staff Member: Maureen Shea Response: There are several negative items that appeared on the rental inquiry from the apartment complex that she was applying for1) MsBailey was late several half of the time of her occupancy with rent payments - this is a red flag for anyone reviewing an application2) The reference specifically asked if she was "approved for the apartment on her own" - and she was not, her application included her son, JHolman so the credit and backgrounds checks were an aggregate of the together3)The reference also asked " Did he/she have a roommate or non-occupant leaseholder/co-signer?" - The answer to this was also yes, her son was her roommate4) It also then asks "Did he/she adhere to the rules and regulations and terms of the lease during their occupancy?" - The answer to that is also no - Aside from being late which was a lease violation, her son dragged garbage through the hallways and then threw it out of the window - maintenance found it, inspected it and found items with their name and address listed on them - so there was no doubt that the garbage, food, etc that had to be cleaned by the staff came from their unitIn addition, maintenance accompanied pest control to the unit and her son would not allow access into the bedroom to treat the total unitIn conclusion, the rental verification asked for the entire picture of the tenant and anyone else residing in the apartment - this includes her son, of course as he was living thereSlander is defined as "the action or crime of making a spoken statement damaging to a person's reputation" - So there is no slander here - the information was written, not spoken but if MsBailey is complaining of 'libel', there is no basis for that either - there is sufficient evidence in her tenant file outlining these circumstances - she can not maintain that there is falsehood in any of the items presentedIt would have been dishonest of us as a management company to not provide the truth as was asked by the relevant parties at Ascot Place Apartments Sent on: 3/11/9:05:AM

It would have been dishonest of us as a management company to not provide the truth as was asked by the relevant parties at Ascot Place Apartments.
