An email was sent to Ms [redacted] on 01/19/for full resolution The initial visit was truly a medical visit and this is evidenced by the fact that prescription medications were prescribed(not "creams" like you say.) Legally we have to bill for the medical visit I understand that with issues such as acne the lines between cosmetic and medical visits often gets blurred It seems like our office should have done a better job of communicating this and for that we are at fault It sounds like we didn't handle that part of informing you properly and I take the blame for that Legally we do have to bill for the medical visitsWe have issued Ms [redacted] a write off of her $balanceWe have instructed our staff to never say things like, "medical visits are covered" or to give an opinion on what certain plans may or may not cover Unfortunately, we are not able to tell someone ahead of time what a medical visit will cost them directly because everybody's insurance plan is different -- there are so many plans and some have huge deductibles and patients get the bill and others have almost no deductible All we can do is see them appropriately and bill the appropriate codes, submit to their insurance and then leave it at that our staff always have the best intentions and work very hard and long hours to take the best care of patientsWe at Tareen Dermatology pride ourselves on billing legally and ethically

I am rejecting this response because: I was not "treated" in any medical way Too many medical offices are fleecing insurance companies by submitting embellished and claims, under the guise of having seen or "treated" a patientI did not receive medical treatment of any kind from this so-called doctorI answered questions about my medical history to an employee trainee, with a clipboardThat is the full extent of what was done on the date in question, prior to leavingThis so called medical professional should just acknowledge the truth, accept this complaint, comply, and move onThe fact that they are being stubborn and hiding behind phrases like "privacy-laws" and "policy" only proves my pointThey are unprofessional crooks, just out to make moneyI was the so called patientI'm stating in writing I did not receive any medical treatment outside of the conversation I described above Therefore I should not be billed for anything other than sitting in a chair and answering odd yes/no questions, before leavingIf this qualifies, by insurance standards as medical treatment, then I want to see the exact claim they plan to submitAnd it should specify that the service received was nothing more than a survey

Due to privacy policies we cannot disclose detailsPatient was treated according to office policyWe have a full visit note documented treament

by submitting embellished and false claims, under the guise of having seen or "treated" a patient. I did not receive medical treatment of any kind from this so-called doctor. I answered questions about my medical history to an employee trainee, with a clipboard. That is the full extent of what was done on the date in question, prior to leaving. This so called medical professional should just acknowledge the truth, accept this complaint, comply, and move on. The fact that they are being stubborn and hiding behind phrases like "privacy-laws" and "policy" only proves my point. They are unprofessional crooks, just out to make money. I was the so called patient. I'm stating in writing..  I did not receive any medical treatment outside of the conversation I described above.  Therefore I should not be billed for anything other than sitting in a chair and answering 20 odd yes/no questions, before leaving. If this qualifies, by insurance standards as medical treatment, then I want to see the exact claim they plan to submit. And it should specify that the service received was nothing more than a survey.

that with issues such as acne the lines between cosmetic and medical visits often gets blurred.   It seems like our office should have done a better job of communicating this and for that we are at fault.   It sounds like we didn't handle that part of informing you properly and I take the blame for that.    Legally we do have to bill for the medical visits. We have issued Ms. [redacted] a write off of her $157 balance. We have instructed our staff to never say things like, "medical visits are covered" or to give an opinion on what certain plans may or may not cover.   Unfortunately, we are not able to tell someone ahead of time what a medical visit will cost them directly because everybody's insurance plan is different -- there are so many plans and some have huge deductibles and patients get the bill and others have almost no deductible.     All we can do is see them appropriately and bill the appropriate codes, submit to their insurance and then leave it at that.   our staff always have the best intentions and work very hard and long hours to take the best care of patients. Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Due to privacy policies we cannot disclose details. Patient was treated according to office policy. We have a full visit note documented treament.

I have spoke to the patient a couple weeks ago and there was a misunderstanding which has now been resolved.
