Review: The two tires I bought from TARS, Inc. in January 2014 were worn out and bald before 3,000 miles had gone by. Dealer says there was no warranty and therefore no help or credit would be issued to me. I feel like the tires were defective and that the dealer sold me a dangerous product. When I bought the tires, I did not realize there was no warranty and the dealer did not tell me this.Desired Settlement: I want a refund.

The customer requested an inexpensive tire for use on their mail carrier's vehicle. The tires,

[redacted] 225/60R16 had no warranty when purchased. Four months later the customer

came in to complain about the tires being worn. We called our distributor and again were told

there would be no warranty for this brand of tires. Lower prices tires rarely have any or no

warranty. After receiving customer's written complaint we contacted our distributor, they

advised us that the consumer may have been spinning the tires with frequent stops and starts

which may have caused the problem. The distributor advised that no complaints or problems

with this tire had been relayed to them. These tires have been purchased by other customer's in

the past and this is our first complaint. We amended this by refunding the amount of $146.82 to

the consumer.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I received the refund check today and am happy with the resolution. However, I do want to dispute that I spun the tires to wear them out. I was, in fact, very careful with these tires and I don't consider these tires to be low-priced tires either. A big thanks to the Revdex.com for helping me resolve this problem.
