Taru's Dry Cleaner

My wife & I dropped off a large comforter/blanket at the business on Thu. Jan. 23 to be laundered (wash & dry), picked up on Monday, Jan. 27

Noticed on opening it up a few days later, that there was a problem where it looked like hard orange plastic had been melted on to the tags of the large comforter. Leaving sharp edges on the tags and twisting and damaging the seam on the edge of the blanket.

Replacement value of the blanket is $100, we were charged $28 for the cleaning. The one person who we dealt with at the store purposely did not give us a receipt or took it back when we picked up the item. We have pictures of him to identify him, which we will include/attach.

Went to the location on Sat. Feb. 8 to seek resolution for the issue. The same person who has been there on each time we were at the business was immediately argumentative with us, saying they were not at fault. We suggested they cut off the tags and re-stitch the seam free of charge, but he said he would only do this if we signed a statement that they were not at fault for damaging the item.

We asked his name and he refused to give it. He claimed the owner of the business was in India and cannot be reached, and that he had no idea when the owner would return from India. At this point we took pictures of him as he attempted to turn so his face would not be in the pictures. That is why we have pictures of him we are attaching/enclosing – we have no other way to cite someone on this complaint, other than the name & address of the establishment. He would not give the owner’s name either.

We also are enclosing attaching pictures of the damage, as well as short video moving the tag around so you can better see that the tags have been immobilized so they pull on the seam.
