Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaintAttached is the invoice that was given the day following the incidentPlease note the following has been sent to Tarvin's insurance company and a letter of denial of coverage was issuedBelow is a breakdown of the information Tarvin sent to their insurance company, and we believe it was their intent to falsify the information for denial of liabilityInstall customer provided lav faucet in master bathroom also (Line 1) replaced front and rear outside anti-freeze hose faucets(Line 2) Roughly minutes after water was re-pressurized a half (Line 3) inch fitting blew off poorly joined CPVC pipeThis section (Line 4) of piping had not been previously pressurized for an unknown (Line 5) amount of timeThis piping was in the vicinity where I was (Line 6) working but was not a direct result of my workIt appears that (Line 7) the glue joint was bad and this may have been why the line (Line 8) was never pressurizedWater Pressure @ 65PSIOwner is (Line 9) advised based on this and the fact that other CPVC piping (Line 10) has previously failed- That all CPVC water lines should be (Line 11) replaced - ABSOULTLY NO GUARANTEES on existing (Line 12) piping or repairs to water lines in this residence(Line 13) The following is as far as the Mueller's accord of the proceedings:(Line 1) True(Line 2) True (Line 3) True (Line 4) FalseThe straight section of pipe, from the pictures that have been passed on, is seen to be snapped and jagged with the degree elbow intactOpinion - poorly joined(Line 5) FalseThe water was on to every aspect of the property when Tarvin Plumbing arrived on 9/1/This spigot was used to water the lawnThis spigot was used by Tarvin Plumbing to perform a previous pressure test(Line 6) True - within 4" (mentioned above) of the work being performed(Line 7) We believe this to be falseBrent specifically advised us that disturbing the CPVC piping in ANY way (shaking, bending moving at all) can result in failure, although we have not seen this to be trueThe spigot was attached to the plumbing before it was attached to the outside of the houseBrent was outside the house attaching the spigot to the house when the incident occurredBrent did not turn the water off to the property when he was making this piping change, he turned off the hand valve that is within 6" of the workBrent also did not turn the water back on to check his work in the repaired area before he leftI found this out afterwards when I went to test the outside spigot(Line 8) FalseThe pipe did not fail at the glue jointPlease again refer to the pictures provided(Line 9) and an opinionThe water was on to that spigot and to the property before Tarvin Plumbing arrived on 9/1/16(Line 10) An opinion(Line 11) - no other CPVC line has failed at the property while we have owned it(Line 12) This statement is troubling in itself as there was no mention of the guarantee being revoked on any work(Line 13) - N/A see above After numerous follow up attempts and hours spent on the phone pre and following the denial of coverage Motorist Mutual has agreed to re-look at the coverage detailsOur complaint is now that Tarvin Plumbing changed the agreement AFTER the saleThere was never a mention of the guarantee being revokedThis is the reason we chose the company and their higher prices; their work guaranteeSee line aboveWe are requested full reimbursement of the paid invoice as Tarvin changed the contract after the sale was made (attached)We will not accept Tarvin to honor their guarantee on the work as we will not allow them back on our property following the conversations had and the outstanding issueTarvin's plumber never put any water / water pressure on the fix to check his work before he leftI am concerned we will have a water leak very soon by the look of the job doneThis is poor faith on Tarvin for seemingly falsifying and fabricating insurance documentation in order to shed liability for water damage they directly caused, as it would have not happened on its ownTarvin plumbing needs to be held liable and it is unacceptable that they have caused this much headache and work for the owners of the property they damagedThe business practice of trying to strong arm a customer into accepting unethical practices such as this and changing contract agreements post sale are deplorable Tarvin Plumbing was contacted as soon as we received the attached invoice to correct the mistakesThe plumber was contacted directly as wellWe were assured the statement would be corrected for accuracyIt was notThe owner was also contacted and claimed ignorance to the account of work being false, and said what was said above, that we (the home owners) could seek coverage from our insurance company for their damages resulting in us being out of pocket for at least an insurance deductible Regards, [redacted]
