Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowIf the warranty does not cover tear/splits and only defects, then why do a customer have to pay for a warranty for defects? Also, the warranty was not "Explained" what it would coverDefects should be automatically covered without payingCharging a customer for a defect is totally ridiculousOf course he has two witnesses and of course they are going to agree with him because they stick togetherTate Furniture "Do Not Have To Be Concerned About Me Entering That Place Again." I have called other furniture stores and they stated, "They would do what they could to satisfy the customer, even if the customer did not have the means to bring the product back to them they would work with customer." Great customer service if they are telling the truthAnd yes the mattress is there years old, but I "Did not," tear/split my mattressI was shocked because I "Never," had a mattress tear/split "Never," beforeI have another mattress set I have had since bought in TX and have been moved around way more than this three year mattress from Tate Furniture, "No split/tear." Thanks Tate Furniture

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The store owner was not nice or willing to help unless I paid them MORE money to do a temporary fix on my furniture.....still not even a year later and I cant even use the living room furnitureTate has provided horrible customer service.....If I had the items delivered it is because I have no way of getting the items to my home how with a car can I possibly get them back to Tate so they can "TRY" to repair themThe business owner couldnt even guarantee that if I spent the money to have them transported to Tate furniture that the issue would be resolvedI in no way shape or form said anything to the owner of tate furniture to make him feel like he couldnt send someone to my houseim 5'llbs so that is a copoutTate provider horrible service and sold items that were not of the value of which they sell them for......After speaking to several people I have realized this is NOT the 1st time TATE has sold customers faulty items which have broken shortly after purchasing I do not feel as if they conduct business the way they would want to be treatedI am very dissatisfied

Ref:  Revdex.com Case #[redacted]We delivered Ms. [redacted]'s furniture to her at [redacted].  The address she gave you is [redacted].She called us for the first time on January 13, 2015 and told us everything she purchased was...

broken.  She also said someone in her family had repaired the damaged items with screws and boards.  I explained to her that the manufacturer will not repair or warranty damaged furniture or furniture that the consumer has worked on.  However, I told her Tate Furniture would try to repair these items as best as we could at NO CHARGE to her.  We do not do in-home repairs, but she could bring it in and there would be no charge for our repair work.  If we picked it up, there would be a $100.00 delivery fee.We do not know how the furniture got broken and damaged, but it was in good condition when we delivered it a year ago.  At Tate Furniture we do everything within reason to help any customer; however, after Ms. [redacted]'s last words to me, we cannot feel secure in sending anyone from our company to her home, therefore we can no longer offer to pick up these items. Breakage, damage, or attempts to repair damage by the customer is the customer's responsibility, not ours or the manufacturer's.We are sorry she refused our offer to help the first time.

Ref:  Revdex.com Case # [redacted]Ms. [redacted] purchased a Spring Air mattress from Tate Furniture on January 23, 2012.  This mattress came with a factory warranty against defects for one year.  I explained to Ms. [redacted] that her mattress is...

three years old and is out of the factory warranty.  Tears and cuts would not have been covered even under the one year warranty as this is not a defect.Tate Furniture did not sell Ms. [redacted] a warranty as she has implied.  We do not sell, nor have we ever sold, warranties or extended warranties.  Although the (tear, cut, split) is not in warranty, I told her Tate Furniture would sew it for her at no charge if she would bring it in.  We do not do in-home service. We do offer the best customer service available and we often go beyond the factory warranty.  I would never be rude to her or anyone else.  I had two witnesses to my conversation with Ms. [redacted].  We offered to help her and she refused our help.
