This letter is in response to the letter dated January 6, 2017 Ms*** had an appointment in our office on November 10, She was seen by our Examination DoctorHe performed an examination and x-raysMs, *** was then scheduled for a ROF (report of findings) for the next day where Dr,
*** would discuss her x-ray findings and give an adjustmentOur policy for a NewPatient is as follows: The New Patient is seen by the Examination Doctor who performs a thorough examination to determine what x-rays need to be ta***X-rays are then ta***The patient makes a subsequent visit (usually the following day) to discuss the findings of the x-raysPatients are rarely adjusted on the initial visitThe x-rays are reviewed that night so the Treating Doctor has the information he needs to present to the patient the following dayThis is called the ROF. Ms*** was scheduled for a subsequent visit (ROF) to review her x-rays with Dr*** *** but unfortunately, Dr*** was called away from the officeShe was informed of this, A follappointment was attempted but never made. Ms*** spoke to someone in our office about her situation and evidently the bill was not adjusted off in time before the next billing cycle. I am rejecting this response because: I told the chiropractor's office that I had recently received x-rays from another chiropractic office in the same year and they wouldn't be covered by my insuranceThe office said they checked my insurance and they wereI told them I did not want a second set of medically unnecessary x-rays done when I had not been examined or diagnosedI argued with the staff but was not heardI feel that I was pressured into medically unnecessary x-rays when all I wanted was an adjustmentSince I'm not brand new to Chiropractic care, I know that many offices will give you a quick adjustment before ordering costly treatmentsAs a new patient at ***, I wasn't aware of all I would be billed for and feel my first visit was a scam to get moneyI would like the account balance clearedI refuse to pay for bad service, cancelled appointments by the doctor and medically unnecessary x-rays and office Visit fees

I am rejecting this response because: I told the chiropractor's office that I had recently received x-rays from another chiropractic office in the same year and they wouldn't be covered by my insurance. The office said they checked my insurance and they were. I told them I did not want a second set of medically unnecessary x-rays done when I had not been examined or diagnosed. I argued with the staff but was not heard. I feel that I was pressured into medically unnecessary x-rays when all I wanted was an adjustment. Since I'm not brand new to Chiropractic care, I know that many offices will give you a quick adjustment before ordering costly treatments. As a new patient at [redacted], I wasn't aware of all I would be billed for and feel my first visit was a scam to get money. I would like the account balance cleared. I refuse to pay for bad service, cancelled appointments by the doctor and medically unnecessary x-rays and office Visit fees.
