Tattoo Sindicate

Review: I walked into Tattoo Sindicate and spoke with a tattoo artist named [redacted]. She informed me the tattoo I wanted would cost around 500 dollars but she could start it and in time and with more money she could finish it. I told her I would put 250.00 dollars down and asked what that would get me. She said it would get me the outline and some shading. So we made the appointment. I waited until May 23rd, 2014 for our appointment, two months out remind you. I got sick about 3 days before my appointment and call [redacted] regarding that. She said with any kind of infection I had to wait another 90 days before she could tattoo me. I told her my doctor said a week. But there was no telling her otherwise and we made the appointment. I Started calling the shop a day before my appointment to confirm the time and the exact day. The cell phone number she gave was no longer in use so I called to the shop phone to no avail. Could not get any one to answer. I left several messages. I got called 20 min. before my appointment which did not give me time to walk there. When I went in two days later she told me I would have to put another deposit down and she would not tattoo me or give me my money back. Then another gal behimd the counter said we do not do refunds on tattoos or piercings. My friend [redacted] who was with me at the time said where does that say that because it was not posted. The girl dont know her name pulled out a sign that sat "NO REFUND ON TATTOO OR PIERCING" my friend said "it does not say anything about deposits" then the gal with no name said I will go print one up now then. I have my original receipt and no where does it say no refund on it. Plus the deposit they require is 50.00 dollars I just chose to put 250.00 on it because I had got my taxes and it was my gift to myself. I need this money back and would never let her tattoo me. I can only imagine what she would do. I need my 250.00 dollars back immediately. I am a single mother with two children and could use money.Desired Settlement: Money back in full immediately.

My shop received a letter today about a customer being un happy about not getting a refund on her down payment for a Tattoo.

Her first appointment was scheduled for Wednesday March 19th, she called the artist multiple times starting at 6 am to say she was sick and on antibiotics, the artist rescheduled her.The shop doesn't tattoo people that are on antibiotics until they have been totally finished with the curse and they are no longer in the persons system, tattooing before then cause the body to work in overload and tattoos tend to not heal well.
