Review: me and my husband made a appointment to get a tattoo on the 19th of july and the circumstances that he went to jail for a few weeks unexpectedly and when I was told to call back to make another appointment to get our tattoos when he got out after we had put 100.00 down to be taken off the total of our tattoos when we made the appointment. when I called back to this buisness I was told that we would have to make another appointment and put down another 100.00 in order to get the tattoos so in conclution I was out of 100.00 and no refund and that we would have to put another 100 to get a appointment and tats. I think this is not right and that something needs to be done.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the 100.00 or our tats done as agreed as originally planned.

In response to complaint [redacted]. When an appointment is made a $50 deposit is required to secure the appointment. The client is then given an appointment card (as pictured in attachment)which also serves as their receipt that outlines the date, time and amount of deposit received as well as balance owed. It also states the following "Please keep in mind your deposit secures your scheduled time slot and is non-refundable if you cancel your appointment. An additional deposit may be required to reschedule."

Per this complaint, the complainant was one half of a couple that made appointments for July 19th. A $50 deposit was collected for each (totaling $100). On July 19th neither of the complainants showed for their scheduled appointment nor called prior to the appointment to reschedule. One hour past their scheduled time I placed a call to the complainant who did not answer or return my phone call that day. Two days passed, July 21st, we received a call from the complainant stating that his husband had been incarcerated and that they would like a refund. At that time it was explained to the complainant that our policy, clearly printed on his appointment card, states that a deposit is non-refundable. And that he, by not showing for his appointment date or notifying prior to the date, forfeited his deposit and appointment time slot and would need to come in and reschedule with a new deposit for a new date.
