Tax Advisory Group Reviews (49)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. They stated that the filing of my 2014 taxes was not a part of  the contract which it was which why the amount they was charging came to $1600 which included my tax return preparation fee.  I have a copy of the agreement that show this.  One of their employee that sign me up for this service contacted me two days later to informed me  that this company was  not liable company.  I ask him why did he sign me up for this service when he knew about them.  He said that they had cheated many clients out of their money and he had enough of their dis honesty.  I immediately contacted Tax Advisory about what was told to me and they informed me that this employee terminated and he was trying to hurt their business.   I took them on their word that everything this employee told me was not true but looking at what their respond to the Revdex.com and me everything this person said was exactly what he said they would do.  The tax return they did was not prepared corrected I submitted everything they ask for and even gave them instruction on how to prepare it since me and my wife was marry filing separate tax return.   This is the reason for the delay not me not supplying them with the document.  If I had not contacted them to explain the mistakes my tax return would have been total screw up.  I understand about the work that they did but it was not done in the way they said it was going to be done.  I am still not satifiied  with the response of this company and I am still asking for the return of my money minus the tax preparation fee.

The work our company...

has
performed for this client:
After receiving the client's commitment, we have
spent time getting all the information and documents from the IRS in
order to find out the client's exact existing tax liabilities,
preparing his back tax returns and extension forms as needed, and
analyzing his case for various potential resolution possibilities.
Based on our investigation and the transcripts of
his tax account, wage and income and tax returns we obtained from the
IRS for the previous years, we found out that the client owes
$3,719.39 for 2012, and $12,169.28 for 2013. And as per the IRS, the
client did not file his tax return for 2010.
Additionally, we found out although his income
shown by the Form 1099-Misc and Form W-2 was low for the years of 2012 and
2013, but he also reported other income (claimed to be rental
income), and the IRS audited his taxes for those 2 years, and
additional taxes were assessed as a result of the audit.
We also learned from our investigation that the
client filed a bankruptcy case on June 18, 2015, and the bankruptcy
case included the tax balance of 2012 and 2013.
We prepared the client's 2010 tax return, including
both Form 1040 (federal tax return) and Form 1 (state tax return).
Also we prepared draft 4868 forms for the
extension to file client’s 2015 tax returns for both the IRS and the
state, in order to help prevent any failure to file penalties.
We have listed all the documents we would need from the
client, including all the tax forms (W-2, 1099, 1098, and also a list
of his rental income and expenses) he has for
2015 and tax organizer for 2015 (we provide the template), in
order to prepare 2015 tax returns, and personal questionnaire
(we provide the template), which is to ensure the inclusion of all necessary
financial information in preparation for the tax resolution of client’s
back tax balance.
We have been working
diligently on this client's case, and our tax professional and other support staff
have spent substantial time on this case. Client may have been confused
with regards to the customer service contact info. Our support staff check
customer service voicemails and emails regularly responding within 24 business
hours.  Our tax professional had contacted the client and explained what
has been going on in his case, and our company had also sent an email to the
client to provide a summary of our work performed so far. Tax return and
extension forms, tax organizer and personal questionnaire were also sent to
this client to review, sign and complete, and he was informed to respond
whenever he needed any clarification.

During our recent
conversation with this client, we have again provided this client with the main
office number in addition to the customer service line. We had
also provided the extensions for the tax professional handling the case as well
as the settlement officer's extension in addition to the case worker's
contact number .

I failed to pay for a couple of years between 2005 and 2011, and I failed to file for 2012-2014. I found Advisory Group to solve the tax problems. The tax professional there helped me file for the past due tax returns, and helped me get a fairly comfortable settlement of my tax balance with both the IRS and the state. He further helped me to refile for 2002 to 2004 and get me a refund of several thousand dollars, which is totally a happy surprise for me.

In response to Ms [redacted]'s complaint about the mail we sent her, I am copying and pasting the disclaimer that goes out with every single mail sent out:

This offer is for taxpayers who have a tax debt of $10,000 or more in state or federal taxes owed. This offer is NOT endorsed nor...

sent to you by the [redacted] nor any other Federal or State government agency. This is an advertisement for services being sent to you by Tax Law Advisory. Our Tax Professionals are authorized to provide you representation before the [redacted] and solely practice tax resolution representation. Tax Law Advisory's tax professionals will investigate and negotiate on your behalf with the [redacted] and/or state taxation authorities to ensure that the best resolution is achieved for your case IRS#[redacted].

In the body of the email, we also clearly state that, if the recipient has settled their back tax or think this is an error, they should discard the notice.

In her written complaint, Ms [redacted]'s issue with the disclaimer is that in her opinion, the mail does not state that it is a 'potential situation'. We make it clear that it is an advertisement for services and that the email is NOT endorsed nor sent by the [redacted] nor any other Federal or State government agency. At the bottom of every email, there is an unsubscribe link giving email recipients the option to unsubscribe from receiving ads from our company. Once they unsubscribe, it takes a few days for our email systems to update, however, they most certainly get removed from our emailing list.

We send out at least 2 million emails per month and we receive about 3 - 4 complaints per month. Once we are contacted, we do our best to resolve any issue or address any complaint. It is evident from her complaint that Ms [redacted] understands that the email is an advertisement for services, which is what we were trying to achieve with the disclaimer.

Out of about 2 million emails sent per month, we receive about 3 - 4 complaints which is actually 0.000002%.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or consternation which our mail may have caused Ms [redacted] and we will certainly look into making some adjustments. We would like to thank Ms. [redacted] for taking the time to provide feedback and helping us to improve our business practices.

I went through so many Tax Firms to try and get my issue resolved and NO ONE was able to help me, until I came across Tax Law Advisory.
They helped me with my tax debt and took a huge relief off my shoulders. They were able to stop the IRS from taking money from my paycheck by the next pay period!
Most definitely the best Tax Professionals I have dealt with.

It hasn't been addressed. My problem is that you make people believe they are in fact being sued. That was not addressed in the least. It's a disgusting business practice of sending out over 2 million a month (according to your own admission) of these emails in the hopes you find someone who is in fact being sued to come in and try to gain money off of them. I have passed this and the original email on to the proper channels so you need not reply again. I would have only asked that you present your advertisements as just that in the beginning of the email seeing as it baseless. You make it seem possible by addressing people by name. I have no debt to the [redacted] nor have I ever yet you claim I am being sued by them. Yes it does state clearly it is an advertisement for your services but it doesn't state that if I should find myself in this situation but in fact that I do owe this and I am being sued. Revdex.com:
